Adorable and Educational! There were many things about The Power Of The Penny that I liked, but what I loved about it was the enthusiastic way it tried to spark a love of history, social and personal responsibility, and an eye for understand our nation. The book is wonderfully written with a bouncy tone and a wealth of vibrantly engaging illustrations that bring this story to life, sparking imagination and education in children who read it. My son really got a kick out of learning about the penny through Abe Lincoln's effervescent words and I ended up learning a bit with him along the way. The book is a great choice for parents who want to educate their kids while entertaining them; it provides a well-rounded outlook on everything from the penny's history to the way it can be used to change your life and your world. It provided to be a smart reading choice for my son and I would definitely recommend it for parents and kids looking to learn and have a little fun as well.

THE POWER OF THE PENNY by Elaina Redmond is an amazing Children's Book. Very educational and informative with beautiful illustrations. A very good book. "Written by a 8 year old". I might add. What a wonderful book! Not only for its educational and informative thoughts but also as a tool to help teach young children the meaning of a penny. What our forefathers gave to each American, this country and the faith,"In God We Trust". I would highly recommend this book to grandparents, school educators and children of all ages and anyone who enjoys reading educational tools. A must read! A definite keeper. I would also recommend "The Power of The Penny" to every school across across our grand country and to be available at your local library. Received for an honest review from the publisher/publicist. I loved this book from the moment I saw it. The illustrations are just amazing and the words are beautiful. I am studying right now to be a teacher and can't wait to share this book with my students! I showed it to one of the directors in my program and they loved it too. It just does a great job of delivering the much needed messages of honesty and kindness to kids in a way they can understand and thats fun for them. I also found the book stimulating for myself as an adult. The second half is full of activities and questions and I found myself remembering forgotten history facts, learning new things about the penny and taking a deeper look at myself and how I "practice the power of the penny." Definitely a great read for kids, parents and teachers, and anyone else looking to be inspired! 2 thumbs up, way up!
