The Princess and the Diamonds by Lila DiPasqua is book Nine in the "Fiery Tales" series, but can be read as a stand. Although, I'd suggest reading the entire series. It's such a great series A novella. A quick read only about 118 pages, but brilliantly written. "***Originally published in THE PRINCESS IN HIS BED anthology**" This is the story of Princess Gabrielle and Mathias. Gabrielle is on a mission to help her brother, who was was taken advantage of at an Illegal Gambling Hall. So dressed as a man she enters the gambling hell, to win back her brother's money. Mathias has been assigned a mission to help to bring down the gambling hall. The King is on a mission to shut down all illegal gambling halls. But, Mathias has a mission of his own, as well, his dear friend committed suicide after being fleeced at this same gambling hall. While, a quick Ms DiPasqua manages to convey to the reader the drama, the sizzling attraction between Gabrielle and Mathias, and the importance of what they are both doing, as well, as the danger they both face. The secrets, the intrigue, and the tension, brings readers to a satisfying and enjoyable conclusion. This story is such an incredible tale of family, friendship, love and finding a HEA. Very enjoyable read! Perfect for a rainy afternoon. Fiery tales can come true, if you only believe! Strongly recommended! Fans of fairy tale recreations, secrets, finding true love against the odds and great reads will surely enjoy "The Princess and the Diamonds" by the amazing and talented Lila DiPasqua. I certainly did! Can't wait to read more. A fun and delightful story! Not your mamas fairytale, just saying. An absolute delight! Rating: 4.5 Heat raring: mild to a bit hot Reviewed by: AprilR

'The Princess and the Diamonds' by Lila DiPasqua is book Nine in the "Fiery Tales" series. This is the story of Princess Gabrielle and Mathias and is a Novella book. I have read most of the books in this series but this easily is a standalone book. Ms. DiPasqua books are always sweet, hot and so enjoyable so for that reason alone I would suggest reading the others. Gabrielle is on a mission to help her brother after he was taken advantage of at and Illegal Gambling Hall. She plans to go undercover to try to win back the money that he was taken for. Mathias has been assigned a mission in helping to bring down the gambling hall. But is very surprised to meet a beautiful women dressed as a man at the Gambling Hall. Needless to say the attraction is hot and hard to turn their back on. This was another great book by Ms. DiPasqua! "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."

ition) When Princess Gabrielle's half brother runs up some serious debt, she decides to borrow some diamonds from her father, the king, and play a game he has banned across the kingdom; Basset. Little does the princess Silvia know that the Marquis of Montfort is also playing Basset, but for a very different reason. He wants to help shut down the game that is ruining many families lives, and that made his best friend take his own life. But when Montfort realizes the princess, who dresses up as a man to hide her identity, is no man sparks fly and a passion beyond anything entangles the princess and the Marquis, leading to an intriguing, yet, very happily ever after.

A quick enjoyable read! I love when you have a woman that doesn't act traditionally in a historical romance. It just makes it so much more enjoyable. For half of this story our heroine, Gabrielle, is dressed as a man. She is trying to win back the money her brother lost at the tables. Our astute hero, of course, can tell that she is not a man and is instantly intrigued by this woman who is trying to hide her identity. Watching Mathias being thwarted by Gabrielle at every turn while he tries to learn her identity, was quite enjoyable. This is a great addition to DiPasqua's Fiery Tales series.

Short & charming erotic romance! What a beautiful surprise! I devoured it! Since, I love, Lila DiPasqua’s Fiery Tales series, her new novella THE PRINCESS AND THE DIAMONDS, kept my interest, until the very last page. Based on the popular fairy tale The Princess & the Pea, this author, added her personal touch of eroticism, to give her writing an erotic feeling! She nicely blended her historical romance with two passionate characters, Mathias and Gabrielle. When they first meet, Mathias finds Gabrielle very intriguing and irresistible! The chemistry between the two is sizzling!! Sparks flare all over! A romantic story filled with well written steamy love scenes and passion! When you start this novella, you won't be able to stop. It’s a real page turner, even if it’s a short novella! You will enjoy every minutes of it. I will surely watch for Ms. DiPasqua’s next story and I highly recommend it. If you don't mind spicy love scenes, then you are in for a treat! The author managed to create two beautiful characters and an interesting plot with enough twists and turns to keep it from being to obvious. This was an excellent historical romance. Plenty of sex and love!! I received a copy of this novella, without any request for a review. This is truly my opinion!
