Overview

Once upon a time in a land not far away but unseen by us, a princess discovered how delightful it was to live as a troll, free in the wild outdoors with her plant and animal friends. Part fairy tale, part field guide, The Princess Troll's Guide to Plants of Southern California tells her story and introduces us to 15 of Southern California's native plants. From desert globemallow to coast live oak, the guide highlights each plant and its personality with vivid verse and photos. Written by a poet and naturalist, The Princess Troll's Guide celebrates the stories told by the plants of Southern California as they teach us to live in harmony with the natural world.
