The Princess Twins and the Birthday Party is a simple sentence book for eager readers. The central message is about showing kindness to your friends. An excellent resource to start a more in-depth conversation with your child. The Princess Twins and the Birthday Party is unfortunately very similar to The Princess Twins and the Tea Party. So similar that my Princess Wiggles kept saying that we had already read this book. Two different messages though so you can start two separate conversations. If your child struggles with ed endings, you will find this a truly helpful read. The following are in the book (some more than once): - hugged - jumped - picked - pinned - popped - twirled - walked Princess Wiggles is right on with her 4 star rating. Enjoy it with your child. I received a review copy in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. My thanks to the author and publisher. For all of my reviews visit my blog at www (dot) blessedandbewildered (dot) com

Princess Emma and Princess Abby are having a birthday party and all of their friends are invited. Princess Emma wants to look her very best, but what is true beauty? I liked this story more than The Princess Twins and the Tea Party, mostly because there was more to it. The illustrations are very much the same as the ones found in Tea Party, though possible a little brighter. The story itself has more to it, the girls had more interactions with other characters, including their parents and their friends. I also like how is stresses that true beauty is found on the inside. I would recommend this book to little princesses everywhere. I received my copy of this book from booklookbloggers.com for the sole purpose of an honest review.

I had never heard of the series, let alone the author, until I signed up to review the title through BookLook. After a quick research (well an internet search), I learned this a reprint with illustrations from a different illustrator, Julie Olson. I'm not for sure why there was a change, but I did like all the pictures throughout the story; the illustrations are simple, but fun. The story itself is pretty simple as well, with the twins getting ready for their birthday bash. Then there is a twist at the end where Princess Emma has to help out a friend; that is when the twins learn that the birthday party isn't just about them, it is about the friends too. Overall, The Princess Twins and the Birthday Party is an adorable, fast-paced story that should appeal to younger readers. I received a complimentary copy in exchange for my unbiased review. All opinions are my own.
