Overview

A rousing tale of the power of passion, hope, and love. The story focuses on Sweet Gillman, son of a poor Texas cotton farmer who must endure one adversity after another on and off the golf course to finally discover what is truly important in life.

After winning the Texas Amateur title and marrying his high school sweetheart, Sweet is implicated in the murder of a convenience store clerk and sent to prison for life. However, sometimes extraordinary things happen to ordinary people and after Sweet is put on a work detail at the warden's home outside the gates of the prison, his entire world changes.

This story has been likened to, Tin Cup meets The Shawshank Redemption. It's filled with great characters and enough plot twists to keep readers peeling pages until the astounding ending.
