The Promise of Deliverance: Reading Second Isaiah

The beauty of this book is that the author does not form concise analytic conclusions but guides the reader in becoming aware of the ever-emerging themes-consolation, transcendence, servanthood, glory, sin, compassion, awake!, and deliverance-how they are intertwined, how they build up a complex and reassuring message of hope, and how they are as relevant today as they were originally.
