Overview

'The Quiz-Masters' is an anthology of short stories that explores character types in contemporary fiction, and follows four men's lives as they struggle to make sense of the world they live in.
Mr Brian Foxe is an elderly history teacher; not much to him, he lives an ordinary life in a small house and tries his best to do the right thing. But while driving one night he comes across one of his students, running from an attacker, and bravery wakens in his heart.
And then there is Mr Oliver Strong, whose character strengths are virtues are tested to their limits when the museum that employed him for over forty years lays him off.
And this thriller anthology would not be complete without Mr Jeremy Parns, a widower forced to take care of his niece when his brother tires of life in the UK and decides to escape abroad.
The character strengths and virtues of these four ordinary men's lives are explored in this thriller anthology of short stories. Ordinary life in the UK is painted in the gritty, visceral tones it really inhabits in this gem of contemporary fiction.

About the Author

My name is Matthew Wight as you probably know already, otherwise you would't be here. I am a 19 year old student looking to go to university to study literature next year. I've always wanted to publish and well, with thanks to Amazon, I've done it.

I live in Wiltshire which is where I set my work, and I really have no idea what to say. What do you want to know? My debit card and pin probably but sorry I can't really say that. I want to be a teacher, I have node idea what level though. I've already had experience teaching primary school children during my work experience that students have to endure nowadays. So I guess that's an option.

My favourite book? I can never really determine what is my favourite but my top three would have to be the following:
Life of Pi by Yann Martel.
It by Stephen King.
Us by David Nichols.
A bit of a variety then.

I'm a cinema employee at Odeon in Salisbury, so if you ever want in or you're interested in a career in stalking than pop on by! I'm running out of time now, if you want to contact me then send any questions, complaints, or even book ideas to discuss to this address:
