Author searches for his missing girlfriend with tragic consequences Stephen Thorn loses his girlfriend when she is snatched way while they are out in the countryside. He spends the next years trying to find and forging a career as a uncompromising writer of true crime novels and a celebrity. His quest leads him to murder, kidnapping and other bloody acts. Unrequited love and double-crosses also feature as Stephen does not know who to trust – quite rightly, it seems. Engaging and entertaining, this has simple black-and-white illustrations embellished with red for blood – plenty of that. A one-off – worth a look
