About the Author
This is the name she uses when writing things for grown-ups. Her work includes multiple fairy-tale retellings and odd little stories about elves and goblins.
When she is not writing, she is probably out in the garden, trying to make eye contact with butterflies.
Most Helpful Customer Reviews
The writing is gorgeous. The story is thoughtful and brilliant. The magic is of that subtle, organic type that makes enchantment seem like the natural state of being. Every single character feels real and alive and fully fleshed out. Every description is sublime. The balance of comedy and darkness is flawless, and the crow's name is "the sound of mouse bones crushed under the hooves of god." The romance is beautiful and sweet and natural and perfect. I adore absoloutely everything about this book, and having just finished reading it, am literally about to read the whole story over again because it was honestly that wonderful.
