THE RAW EDGE OF COURAGE -- REVISED by Lorne Thompson
This is the story of a young man at war with himself, society, and God. It begins with his childhood and quickly focuses on an incorrigible youngster and then a rebellious teenager who is antagonistic toward any semblance of authority and who quickly tends toward a hardened criminal.
Multiple incarcerations for criminal activity fail to deter his downward trend. Finally apprehended for car theft and robbery, he is confined to jail to await sentencing. Eleven months later he is sentenced to 3/12 to 20 years in prison.
In prison fear, anxiety, dread, and worry stalk him as ravenous beasts their prey.
Despite the circumstances in which he now finds himself (with time wearing heavier leaden shoes than in jail), he struggles toward re-socialization, eventually emerging from prison to a life strewn with more obstcles to continual self-improvement.
It is by courage with determination he surmounts nountainous challenges to self-improvement.
From prison to pulpit is an engaging story.
