The Relucatnt God was THE best book I ever read. It is a great mystery full of Egyptian history. I highly reccomend it if you love egyptology, like I do. It's a quick read, you will fly by it. I read it twice! The second time in one day. It captures your interest in the first few pages you read. It's even funny at times. I reccomend it to anyone whether you like fantasies and Egypt or not, you will love it. It desperatly needs a sequal!

This is definately one of the best books I've ever read. My class read it together and i always wanted to read ahead because Mrs. Service makes the ends of the chapters so exciting that you always want to read and find out what happens next. It is soo cool how Lorna meets Ameni, a long dead person to us but alive in the past(where Lorna meets him). If you somebody who likes time-slip stories...( or a very good one!!!)... I would strongly recomended this book to you!!

The story is great. The book includes both fact and fiction and makes it into a glorious book. It has a bit of humor, danger, and romance, and all of it blends into a beautiful tale.

Book is well written, will keep kids¿ attention. Unfortunately it serves to endoctrinate in the religion of Universalism, i.e., all gods are the same and all one must do to obtain eternal life is to be sincere in his belief of the particular god(s) of his choosing/culture.
