THE MAKING OF A COMPASSIONATE STATESMAN This beautifully written book details the events in the life of Robert Kennedy for two years following the assassination of his brother the President. It puts a human face on the public persona of Robert Kennedy. We understand his struggles. It is a compelling story that keeps the reader engaged. Even though I lived through this time period, I learned many details about the political scene and how Robert Kennedy hoped to change the world.
