This short story was a quick, satisfying, one-evening read. The story was sweet. I would like to hear more about Kylie and Brian. The author did a nice job of adding elements of suspense and romance at a quick pace with some high-level character development. As one would expect with a short story, there are some unanswered questions like how did her brother go so wrong (which might be easily explained if the mother is any indication.) :) If this story develops into more about Kylie and Brian, I’ll be the first in line to read more. This would be a good investment to learn this author’s style and a springboard into some of the writer’s other offerings.
