Author Biography: Jenny Pausacker has published more than forty books for children, young adults and adults and has won the Angus & Robertson Junior Writers Fellowship (for What are Ya?) and the New South Wales Premier's Prize for Children's Literature for Mr Enigmatic.
About the Illustrator: Gregory Rogers became the first Australian artist to win the British Kate Greenaway Medal for illustration for Way Home in 1995. The book also received a Parents' Choice Award in the USA and a special commendation in the ABPA design awards. His other picture books include Lucy's Bay, shortlisted in the 1994 CBC awards; Running Away from Home, Tracks, Space Travellers, The Postman's Race and Aunty Mary's Dead Goat. He has illustrated four other titles in the After Dark series: The Bent-Back Bridge, The Island, The Rings and The Fort.
