I picked the book up at a bargain. Once I started reading it I could not put it down. It really shows how different members of society overcome racial barriers and become one of the best infantry divisions of world war II.

Great book about a great division ! It truly depicts the horror and bloodbath that was Anzio, as well as the extensive combat history of one of the U.S. Army's premier divisions in World War 2 . A must for any student of the European theater in World War 2.
