The first time that Dr. Andy Kumar saw Cadell Glynn—all six feet, four inches of him, tribal tattoos winding around his arms, fingertips deeply callused from years of pressing steel guitar strings, dressed in leather pants and a tee shirt ripped at the neck that let the tattoos on his muscular shoulders peek through, blue-tipped black hair spiraling in curls and swaying near his shoulders, and fear and helplessness filling his dark eyes at the sight of his sick child hooked up to two different IVs and crying—Andy knew that he was going to be trouble.

Mr. Glynn had interrogated Andy and the other surgeons, asking why, and when, and how, and would it hurt Emily too much.

He had calmed down some after that first week. Some.

After a few weeks, when Emily had stabilized, Mr. Glynn had backed off from the third degree, but he had begun to mention that there were other things in life outside the hospital. Restaurants. Dancing. Concerts.

Even though he was the hottest thing Andy had ever seen, she should not date Cadell for so many reasons. So many.

The temptation was just too much.

Andy wished that the hot rock star daddy would quit asking her out.

About the Author

Blair Babylon is the nom de plume of an award-winning author who regularly publishes literary and suspense fiction. Because professional reviews of her fiction usually included the caveat that there was too much deviant sex in her books, she decided to abandon all literary pretensions and write hot, erotic romance novels and serials.

This story really impacts not just the usual senses that a romance does. It really throbbed in my heart and soul. Blair Babylon really is a master??(mistress!) of being able to evoke poignancy and being thought provoking in this one. Cadell is a hero bar none. Dr Andy Kumar, his daughter's physician, in the beginning doesn't seem indicative of a romantic/love interest though. She's cautious and reserved(boy, does she have her reasons!). But, with the help of a beautiful little blond sprite, love does conquer all. I was so glad this wasn't a typical romance per se. But, looking back through all of the Blair Babylon books I have read, I knew not to expect anything EXCEPT far from typical. She is my favorite author, par none, as she can very exquisitely tell a beautiful romantic tale; all the while learning about various medical fields, philosophies, religious beliefs, psychology, cryptocurrencies...Believe me, reading her books will lighten your spirit and if you're like my son(he's 22 yo Autistic) and I, she's broadening our minds. He picked up at bookmark of Emily's condition, Liked do much, he has drawn up pages and pages of his own handwritten research and theories. Thank you Blair. (he shuffles through the 'romantic parts' - kinda yucky he says. LOL ;)

Rockstars In Disguise- Cadell's Story The Rockstars In Disguise Series holds true to its name. With each story I read I realize that we all have this notion that rockstars are rough and tough. They are performers and their entire world revolves around putting on a show. Blair is able to produce that part of the character wonderfully but what she does a beautiful job doing is breaking down those notions and showing us the softer, sweeter, caring side of those rockstars. Cadell Glynn has a big, big secret. He has a child that NOBODY knows about. Cadell didn't even know about her until recently. His two year old daughter Emily is fighting for her life though. Cadell spends a majority of his life on the road touring with his band. Since Cadell found out about Emily, he has made it a priority to spend as much time with her and take care of her, even if it is in the hospital. He has grown close to Emily's doctor, Dr. Andal (Andy) Kumar. Since Cadell spends so much time at the hospital with Emily, he has developed feelings for Dr. Andy (that's what Emily calls her) and at each and every offer, she turns him down. Cadell has to find a way to break her down and change her mind. Dr. Andal Kumar knows all about Cadell Glynn and his rockstar life. Every time he sees her, he asks her out. Every time he asks her out, she turns him down. No way is she going to fall for that. Besides that, she's already engaged and set to be married in a couple of weeks. In the weeks that follow, Dr. Andy finds herself falling more and more for the hot rockstar. Will she follow her parents wishes and go through with her arranged marriage or will she follow her own wishes and see what life has to offer? While it was difficult to read a story centered around such a young, innocent little girl with a life threatening illness, I really enjoyed Cadell and Dr. Andy's journey through it. This was a great story and I'm sad that it was the end to the Killer Valentine series. Hopefully Blair will revisit that and change her mind. ***Gifted in exchange for an honest review *** This was said to be the last of the Killer Valentine series... but I do hope that we connect with these characters again sometime. as I'm missing them already. I have left writing this review for a few days because of the sentimental feelings of loss when I got to the end... I wasn't ready to let these characters go. so I am giving the book 4.5 stars. I just felt that Emily voice was just too old for a t we o year old (I had a good debate about this with various mothers of 2 yr olds and for the most they agreed with my feelings that a 2yr old would have limited linguistic skills. so i am sticking to my feelings) but its fiction after all and i guess maybe having Cadell Glynn as a father could produce a Gifted kid? I loved how Blair has picked a female lead that was not the normal trope. I really loved the insight into a mixed cultural relationship. I also loved the dedication from Blair (read from the beginning of the book and you will get what I mean) overall I will wholeheartedly recommend this book series to anyone who loves books music and great writing. and seeing as Blair has the first book free you can dip your toes... but I think that you will get hooked like I was. please Blair lets hear from these guys again but thanks for the Epilogue - it rocked, there were a few funny moments but I did have a favourite... It could be seen as a spoiler so I have not written it - but when you see something about BATS - thats it!

Cadell’s story was a surprise, a great one! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I read about this story. You don’t think of rock stars as being parents, but, of course they are sometimes. Having a sick child is hard for any parent; your job requiring you to be gone so much has to be horrific sometimes. Money can buy a lot of things, but it can’t put you in two places at once. Cadell has to try and find a way to balance being the parent of a sick little girl with being a famous rock star. He spends his free time looking up additional information, playing with his little girl and trying to be the “rock star” that Killer Valentine needs to keep the band moving forward. Parts of this story broke my heart, while others warmed it. I've really enjoyed the Rock Stars in Disguise Series. Each of them has a unique story and seeing how all of them blend together has truly been a fun experience. I would definitely recommend them. Blair’s books offer insight into other cultures and lifestyles. Her stories never disappoint me and Cadell’s story is the same. It is truly heartwarming! I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review. I also purchased a copy because I love all of Blair's books.

This book seriously pulled at my heartstrings. The author's previous books tend to take the reader on a wild emotional roller coaster ride of extreme highs and lows, with a dash of mystery, suspense and intrigue thrown in to always keep the reader lusting for more. This book, however, started on a more melancholy note centering around a child's sickness and the melancholy theme continued throughout approximately 90% of the book. The plot was a slow, sweet ride that took the reader from the occasional tear to cheering out loud. While normally I prefer plots that give off an adrenaline junky high at the conclusion of the book, I definitely could not put this book down. I desperately needed to know what happens to Emily. Does Cadell achieve his dream to have a family of his own? Will Andy stand up for herself to her family and finally start making her own decisions about her life based on her own heart's true desires? This book concludes the story of the rock band Killer Valentine in a way that leaves my curiosity appeased and my heart satisfied. Blair Babylon has done it again! I am already looking forward to seeing where her future writing endeavors take us! Read the entire series, you will not be disappointed! **I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**

From the first word, I was entranced. All I can say is WOW. The Rock Star’s Secret Baby is the third book in the “Rock Stars in Disguise Series” that I have read and I was just blown away. The depth of the story telling beyond just a love story was what kept me on the edge of my seat while reading. Cadell Glynn, 6 foot four hunky rock star, is the father to a very ill two year old, Emily. While Emily is waiting for a liver transplant, Cadell is hanging at the hospital, learning all he can about liver disease and bonding with Dr. Andy Kumar (pediatric hepatic transplant surgeon). While it is not uncommon for patients and parents of patients to get close, Dr. Andy is always careful to not encourage a relationship beyond patient and doctor……until she met Cadell. The sparks fly. As we further learn, Dr. Andy is betrothed and her nuptials are in a few weeks to a man she has but only met twice. How will that play out? The Rock Star’s Secret Baby is a love story….so no surprise there is interest from both parties. What I liked is the kind and gentler side of rocker Cadell (as well as Xan – who would have thought?). We also see the extremes Cadell goes through to be there for his daughter (whom he has only known for 6 months). It certainly pulled at my heart strings to see what Cadell would do for Emily and how he adapted to being an instant father. Dr. Andy is seeking independence from her traditional Indian upbringing while at the same time wanting to follow through with the life that has been predesigned by her VERY traditional family. I found (and still find) it sad that in this day and age, one would put such a low value on a woman and try and “sell/marry” her off as a great wife, with no expectation of love of their partner on their wedding day. I really had strong feelings about Dr. Andy’s family…..and not all those feelings were good ones! And her best friend, Raji, was a gem. I loved the exploration of the relationship between Cadell and Dr. Andy – both emotional and physical. I found that how he responded to her inexperience was sensitive and really thoughtful. I found this endeared me even more to this rocker. The hot, sexy scenes were indeed HOT!!!! Whew…. but written in such a tasteful manner, leaving some things to the imagination. The writing was such that at times, I just felt like I was there! I was engaged and frankly sad at the end…I wanted the story to continue. Alas, it will just have to be with another Blair Babylon novel. *I would like to thank the author for supplying a free copy of this title in exchange for an honest review*

Another awesome book by Blair! I love how she can explain the minds of her characters and what they go through and how they develop. Who would have guessed Cadell was such a loving, caring and giving man. From party animal to a life of father and what is needed in order to not only keep his child but make sure she has the best possible care. This book is hot and will make you want to tear through the pages to read as fast as you can.

You can always count on Blair Babylon to grab your heart and give a little twist. So far she has made me fall in love with every man she has written and Cadell, the lead guitarist for Killer Valentine, is no exception. Faced with a terminally ill toddler he didn't know he had, instead of falling back into drug addiction he has cleaned himself up and fallen hopelessly in love with his little girl and the doctor trying to save her life. You will learn the good and the bad of the American healthcare system, explore culteral diversity, and glimpse love unlike any other. Dr. Andy is working on her fellowship in pediatric hepatic transplants, she is smart, funny, and hopelessly devoted to her little patients. When she loses her heart to Emily and her rock star daddy she is forced to evaluate her lifestyle, her values, and her dreams. This is the last book in the KV series but it can be read independently of the others. If this is the first Blair Babylon book for you you'll be addicted and need to read them all.

Brilliantly written. Great insight into the makeup of a traditional Indian family. Loved this book. Loved the happy ending. Thrilling and suspenseful (as we anticipate Andy's decision) as well as romantic and sexy.

I loved this book! It was a wonderful final book for this series. Cadell is such a gentle caring character, the soul of a wounded poet and a fiercely protective father. Not what you expect in a rock star character. Learning about Andy was a study of another culture, so different from my own. The author did an excellent job describing how her character was pulled between traditional and modern society. My opinion----read it-read it-read it! ARC provided for an honest review.

Oh Cadell! To live a life so separate that your closest friends don't even know. So sad. Such a heart wrenching read and so very uplifting as well. He works so hard and gives so much. This is a great read. Blair Babylon has done it once again. I enjoyed this story so much. I don't want to say too much about the story - you really need to read it.

This another hit by Blair Babylon. It's filled with drama and angst and steamy romance. I enjoy how she develops the characters and their relationships with each other, how they deal with difficult situations, fighting to do what's right...Once I started reading I didn't want to put the books down. A great read for the beach or by a lake. Will read again I'm sure.

I did NOT expect Cadell to be so sensitive. By the end of the book, I was in love with him!! He was compassionate, loving, considerate, ethical, and an attentive dad - and fighting his addiction to heroin in a visceral way. In fact, he describes his addiction in such a way that I could feel his pain and his longing for it. As always, Blair's writing is amazing - compelling, emotional, and engaging. She is a skilled wordsmith. Some of my favorite lines include: Looking at her was like catching his reflection in a funhouse mirror that warped his own face to be tiny and helpless and feminine. That tenuous thing that he called love drifted around him, almost a vapor in his mind. All that weight crushed him like a huge, stone wheel rolling over his chest. "I do not," he said from where he was draped over an armchair, his long arms and legs flowing over the sides like a tarantula stuffed in a thimble. For me, this book ended all too soon. The epilogue, in particular, seemed to stuff an awful lot of information into a short section. I was happy to read the conclusion, but a part of me felt like it was just too perfect. Maybe I just didn't want to see it end.

I have been following Killer Valentine and was looking forward to Cardell’s story. The band is on a break for now working on new music when Cadell gets sidetracked by someone very special to him that he never knew existed until her mother died. Cadell has a little two year old girl who is in need of a liver transplant. It was really heartwarming to see that this totally badass doping rock star was able to give up the drugs and fight for his little girl’s life. He really had his priorities set and was going to do everything in his power to help his daughter. That’s where Dr. Andy comes in. She is a very beautiful pediatric transplant doctor who had taken to Emily and has watched Cadell do everything in his power to help his little girl and be there to comfort her until a new liver became available for her. Dr. Andy is of Indian decent and even though she is a grown woman she lives at home with VERY traditional parents who believe in arranged marriages and Andy was set to be getting married to a man she had only met two times. You learn a lot about the Indian culture and how the old sometimes does not meet the new. Besides the love story that develops between Cadell and Andy you are left wondering how Cadell is going to change Andy’s mind about marrying this stranger her parents have set her up with before it’s too late. This is more of a heartwarming story that also helps shed a little light on organ donation and what it means to so many people. This book was provided as an ARC from the author for an honest review.

My, oh my, oh my, where to start. This series has me going. Each has delved into acts of redemption, sacrifice, and love, with a lot of steam. I thought Tryp’s and Elfie’s story was heart-wrenchingly beautiful, funny, and loving, but Cadell’s and Andy’s is even more so. Cadell is trying to save his daughter, one he didn’t know he had, but after a hard life on the road, and even though he’s a perfect match, he can’t give his daughter the one thing she needs. Andy is her doctor and over many months of sleepless nights, Cadell and Andy find themselves in a quandary . . . do they forge ahead with their fledgling romance or step back from each other because of hospital and doctor/patient rules. The most wonderful thing about this book is they overcome the adversity (her family and his addiction) to find love as well as taking back or finding their true selves without having to kowtow to someone else’s demands. In the end, they save each other.

Cadel Glynn is the lead guitarist for killer Valentine. He has a 2 year old daughter named Emily who desperately needs a liver transplant. Her favorite doctor is Dr. Andal Kumar, affectionately known as Dr. Andy. There are several things going on in this story at one time. We have Cadel staying off heroin so he can be a liver donor, there’s Emily needing a transplant as soon as possible and then there’s Dr. Andy who is getting married in 3 weeks in an arranged marriage to a man she’s only seen twice! Wow! There’s so much heart breaking stuff happening but it’s all so well put together that it actually works! I’ve read several of Blair’s books before and this is another well written book. And who wouldn’t love one of the Killer Valentine guys. They are so HOT! I loved the book and can’t wait to read Peyton’s story. I received this in exchange for an honest review.

The Rock Star’s Secret Baby is an astounding breathtaking and magnificently exquisite journey that will ever so gently open your heart and allow the purest and truest form of love to reach in and transform every part. This is a love that will change a life just by its mere presence and the surprising peace that it brings. Love not only accepts with open and honest arms, but it also center us and presents a life of simplicity and overwhelming peace. Our hearts cannot live in turmoil and anxiety, so why would be choose to complicate our life and force ourselves to live in such pain? Instead, walk towards a future that will make your soul sing with its promise of unbridled joy and sigh with its temptation of perfect peace. Andy is living the life that has been carefully designed for her. She knows her place, and she does all she can to stay without her restrictive, allotted boundaries. The desires of her heart are inconsequential and do not matter in comparison to the future that has already been mapped out. No matter how much she yearns for more, she quickly pulls her disobedient heart back into its gilded cage. Cadell has none only chaos and demands his entire life. He knows what he must do, and yet his very soul is screaming out for something so very different. The chains that hold his captive are not as confining as they used to be, but can he figure out how to break them completely before more than his own future goes up in flames? Can Andy follow the pleading cries of her own heart and stop her very soul from dying before she has had a chance to spread her wings, or will she walk away from the only source of living water that her dehydrated soul needs only to please those she seeks approval from? If I thought that the stories of the other members of the band Killer Valentine were utterly mesmerizing and incredibly powerful, then Babylon definitely saved the best for last with Cadell. She has painted a masterpiece so expansive and yet stunningly detailed that to take it all in at one sitting is nearly impossible. The themes that wave themselves throughout this wonderful journey will seep into your heart until you feel the full weight of them upon your very soul. The truth and the power in the words that cover these pages will pierce every facet of your life until you find the chains that hold you captive. Andy and Cadell are a perfect and beautiful balance to the other. They not only understand the implication of their past, but they see the limitless potential of their future. The only question that remains is if they are willing to step out on faith and take hold of what they desire above all else. Blair Babylon continues to leave me utterly breatheless and completely captivated by the quite brilliance of her mind and the boundless depths of her heart. Her stories never fail to show me something new about myself, and quietly remind me that I am worth something, We are all broken and flawed in some way and yet it is those pieces that make us who we are. Regardless of what we think, we are never unredeemable or too far gone as long as we can be touched by love and hold onto hope.

A Review of The Rock Star's Secret Baby (Rock Stars in Disguise: Cadell) (Friends With Benefits - Billionaires in Disguise) by Blair Babylon Cultural differences - 5+++++ stars We finally get Cadell's story and it was well worth the wait. It took me a bit to determine that this story actually takes place earlier in the storyline of Killer Valentine, so we've seen parts of his story in Georgie and Xan's. Cadell found out that he had a very sick young daughter, who had been left alone when her mother passed away. When we meet Dr. Andy Kumar, she is taking care of Emily in the Hospital after her nannie left her there, since Cadell is out of the country with the band. As soon as the plane lands, he heads out to the hospital, without telling anyone where he is going or why. Xan tells him they have the studio booked and he needs to be there, but Cadell just leaves. In the short time that Cadell has had custody of his daughter, he hasn't told anyone in Killer Valentine about her at all. Everyone knows that something is going on with him and they are all afraid that he is back on drugs. But, for the last eight months, he has done everything he can to get clean and stay clean for his baby. This is a story about much more than a member of Killer Valentine and the ride that comes with being a rock star. He has formed a tight bond with his daughter's doctor and is trying to understand her culture, which does not allow her to even have coffee with him. There are a lot of twists and turns with this story and you will definitely need your tissues a couple of times. I highly recommend that you pick up this story, especially if you have read any of the other books with Georgie, Xan and Killer Valentine. **Complimentary Copy provided by Author for an honest review.**

I’m finding it hard to describe how much I loved this book. Blair Babylon has been on my list of favorite authors since I read her first series – Billionaires in Disguise: Rae – and her writing never disappoints me. While The Rock Star’s Secret Baby is set in the Killer Valentine world of Rock Stars in Disguise (RSID) it can totally be read as a standalone. (You really should read the entire series though as it is fantastic.) I found the Author’s Note at the beginning of the book to be very touching and informative; I now know a little more about an author I love. Dr. Andal (Andy) Kumar is the wonderful and compassionate surgeon assigned to care for Cadell Glynn’s daughter, Emily – the daughter that none of his friends know about. Caudell didn’t know that Emily existed until a few months ago and now he’d do anything to make his daughter well again. Dr. Andy feels an attraction to Cadell that she can’t seem to help. She is touched by the lengths he goes to in order to provide care for Emily. Cadell has serious demons from his past that he must constantly fight so that he doesn’t let Emily down. My emotions were all over the place while I read this book. In a few places I thought I’d die laughing (conditioner is my new favorite word but I can’t say any more; you have to read the book). At other times the tears flowed freely along with more than a few sobs. Books that touch my emotions deeply are the best in my opinion and this one did that in spades. If you’ve read the other RSID books you will love revisiting the rest of the group in the final chapter of this story. Even though this concludes the RSID series I’m betting that somewhere along the way Blair Babylon will find a way to give us another glimpse at these fantastic characters.
