About the Author

Jessica Locke recounts true stories of growing up on a farm in Ohio in her series of children’s books, The Ronnie Holligan Chronicles. Locke is also the author of Rescue at Engine 32, an historical account of her volunteer work with the firefighters of the New York City Fire Department after September 11th. She is currently working on a new book entitled What Do You Do When the Doctors Can’t Help You Anymore?

Locke holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ohio Sate University and a Master’s Degree in Music from New England Conservatory. She is also the Executive Director of the Jessica Locke Firefighters Fund, a nonprofit created to support firefighters suffering from chronic pain and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

A portion of the proceeds from The Ronnie Holligan Chronicles will be donated to the Jessica Locke Firefighters Fund.

Lennie Peterson – visual artist, musician, performer, composer, arranger, recording artist, public speaker – has devoted his life to music, visual art, and arts education. His illustrations have been featured in magazines, books, corporate promotions and programs, and web sites around the world. The Big Picture, his daily autobiographical comic strip, was distributed to newspapers and websites internationally by Universal Press Syndicate from 1999 to 2004. Peterson's artwork has been featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States including New York City and Harvard University. His series of large Composer Portraits is currently in solo exhibition at The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center

He has illustrated 11 humor books and 3 children’s books, including his latest project, When You Have to Say Goodbye: Loving and Letting Go of Your Pet by veterinarian Monica Mansfield.

Peterson's interactive public speaking engagements demonstrate his improvisational creative process and the blending of the two art forms of music and visual art. He uses this metaphor to engage his audiences of all ages to keep an open mind toward living their daily experiences and challenges in a more spontaneous, trusting, and instinctual manner.
