About the Author

James W. Fraser is Professor of History and Education and Chair of the Department of Applied Statistics, Social Science, and Humanities at the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University, USA. From 2008 to 2012 he was Senior Vice President for Programs at the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. Fraser is the author or editor of fourteen books, most recently as co-author of Teaching Teachers: Changing Paths and Enduring Debates.
