Overview

Romance, suspense, and adventure, set in the archeological ruins of the Yucatan, and the steaming jungles of Guatemala and Belize.

Welcome to the land of the Maya. The Usumacinta River, flowing from northern Guatemala into Southern Mexico, forms the biological backbone of the largest tropical rain forest north of the Amazon. Here lie hidden temples, gigantic pyramids, ancient tombs and overgrown palaces, shrouded by the canopy of 14,000 square miles of tropical rain forest.

Grant Whitaker, widower, meets April Jardine, field archeologist, when he makes an emergency landing in the Yucatan. Ancient records of cataclysmic importance fall into the hands of Whitaker and Jardine. The discovery puts them at the center of a clandestine political maelstrom. Trapped in a web of tightening intrigue, they seek Zarahemla, the ancient mythical city of the Maya.
