About the Author

Felix Alexander (1976-Present) is a Mexican-born, American-raised novelist, and poet of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent.

Acclaimed by readers for his poetic prose, his indie releases include: Dear Love: Diary of a Man's Desire, a collection of love letters and poems; and The Romantic: A Love Story.

Being third-generation military, after a grandfather and uncle who served in the Korean War and Vietnam War, respectively, Alexander is proud of his service in the U.S. Army, and grateful for his experience.

After his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, he embarked on the long and arduous journey of a writer. Having made a name for himself during his tenure, serving his country, he vowed to himself and his fellow soldiers that he would answer his true calling.

When not spending time with his children, a son and daughter, he journeys through the portals in his extensive, personal library. When he returns, he immerses himself in his writing, and pursues the scent of his muse.

A great fast paced read! This is the first of a series about Aiden Leonardo and I look forward to reading more! In this first installment, we have the race to find the Lost Bible of Barnabas as many powers struggle over whether it needs to hidden or revealed. You have The Group, an Illuminati-esque power behind the powers that be, the police, the FBI, and supernatural powers all looking in one or another to get their hands on this artifact. In the center of all this is Aiden Leonardo and a small group of his family and friends trying to unravel all that is going on and who they can and can't trust in this race. I really enjoyed how this book kept me guessing. There are so many shifts in whose allegiance truly belongs where that you are always wondering who can really be trusted. I also appreciated how biblical, archeological, and historical clues and facts were woven throughout the story. If you enjoy mystery, intrigue, and the shifting truths behind history, this is a book for you!

The cover of this novel attracted my attention, as it is really beautiful and evocative. The opening of the novel is very intriguing and compels you to read on, despite some very poor editing which was unfortunately evident even in the opening scene, and then throughout the novel. Hopefully readers will overlook the poor editing throughout the novel, and focus on the decent writing style which presents a good plot full of mystery, drama and intrigue. The story is quite educational and intellectual, weaving these elements into a plot which keeps the reader guessing. The novel is ideal for readers who enjoy historical mysteries, and for those who enjoy a story which is quite deep and at times a little complex and thought-provoking. I enjoy novels which have a sense of intrigue and depth, however I personally found some of the plot to be a little confusing, and I had to backtrack occasionally to try and clearly ascertain what was happening – I am sure the occasional complexity of this novel will make reading Book 2 in the series somewhat easier though. Overall, the novel was quite enjoyable and worth reading, and I really appreciated the level of detail and research that likely went into the plot, and the level of character development that the author has cultivated.
