I grew up watching the movie, many times. I loved it, it was a fantastic story with an interesting plot. When I got into middle school, they had a book fair where you could buy books. This was one of them. I grabbed it since I loved the movie so much and thought I would read the book. It`s fairly close to the movie though of course, the book has more details to it than what the movie shows. I recommend it for anyone who`s seen the movie or is looking for a good story about animals. It does have a little bit of darkness to it but as I saw the movie in elementary school, it isn`t that bad. It may have a bit of complex plot, it took me to watch the movie a couple of times before I understood what it was that was going on (but that was with a very young mind). I`m interested in reading the other books in the series.

My favorite book from childhood. I actually still have the same copy I read and re-read. The dark wonders of the rosebush, the bumble headedness of Jeremy, the suspense and terror of movie day added to the pressures of having a very sick son. Fantastic read for the young and young at heart.

This book will become a classic if it's not already.

NIMH, it turns out, is a real place... though their research primarily centres on mental maladies rather than smartnessation. Still, the fantastical idea that a group of rodents could have been granted human-level sentience is a fascinating concept that allows O'Brien to challenge what, exactly, makes us so "civilised" in the first place.

I haven't read this book in about fifteen years, but I remember really getting into it when I was a kid. I'd definitely recommend it as a solid book for kids who are readers or want to be.

This story is pretty good. I like the part about Nimh, but sometimes the other spots were a little bit dull. All the same, this book is a good book to read for all ages!

This is a great book! THis book makes you want to read even more! This is about the Rats of Nimh who help Mrs.Frisby move her house so they can be safe. Well if you are wondering what this book is about and should I read it well I think you should, and if you like mice or rats you will love it!
