Three young widowed, decide to come out of mourning together, and finally have some fun! When it comes to the specific act of fun, the first one , Caroline is having a hard time just the right person to her bed! However, Silas , a reformed rake, has wooed her for a year, and is counting the days until he can make her his. A witty book, with the three widows, two who had very sad, bad memories of marriage, and one, who had the perfect marriage, only to lose her husband at the battle of Waterloo. I highly recommend! Thanks! Enjoy! carolintallahassee ?

The Seduction of Lord Stone is the first book in the Dashing Widows series by Anna Campbell. This series is based on three young widows just out of mourning who decide to have some fun... Our first widow is Caroline (Caro), Lady Beaumont. Caro worries that she'll die without ever having lived. So after spending 10 dreary years married, she decides to take a lover. She wants no ties and has no plans to marry in the future. Our hero is Silas Nash, Viscount Stone. He's the brother of one of our other widows, Helena. He's also become a close friend to Caro. What Caro doesn't know is Silas is in love with her and wants marriage and a HEA! Silas was such a great hero. He is determined to change Caro's mind and goes to extreme measures at times to prevent her from choosing another man. Caro who is so set to never marry struggles when she realizes she may have more than friendly feelings for Silas. I love a good story where a Rake gives up his ways to pursue the woman he loves, and this was an excellent one! A fantastic quick read that is an excellent start to this series. I enjoyed Silas and Caro and look forward to getting to know the other widows and the men they end up with!

Good read but short. Remainder of book is filled with excerpts from author's other books.

Three widows just coming out of their year of mourning, one chomping at the bit, one resisting with all her might and the other, cynical. This promises to be an interesting season. Lady Beaumont is looking forward to cutting loose and enjoying a lover. Her marriage to Freddy had been arranged by her father when she was a child and she was just old enough to marry off when he married her to his godson Freddie. Freddie loved his farm and was buried in the management of the farm he didn’t love her and she didn’t love him but she did her duty as a wife until he died, now it’s time for her to live. Caro, with the help of her two friends throws a ball to enter the season and of course her friend’s brother, Lord Stone is there to support her as he had through her mourning period. But when she announces to him her plan to take a lover his reaction is anger and she is surprised. He has been supportive of her for the last year, why is he reacting this way? Because he loves her, so much so that he has become a reformed rake. Duh! This made for an interesting season between the trio of friends and the men who surround them. A great read.

115 pages of uneventful lovers angst and utter stupidity. 115 pages is not really a book. A great part of this so called book is in conversation form. I'm glad it was free. I wouldn't buy a book by this author.

The Seduction Of Lord Stone by Anna Campbell is a fun historical romance. This is a fairly short book, a great choice for those with limited time for reading. Ms Campbell has delivered a well-written book. The characters and awesome. Silas and Caroline's story is loaded with drama, humor and heat. I enjoyed reading The Seduction Of Lord Stone and look forward to reading more from Anna Campbell in the future. The Seduction Of Lord Stone is book 1 of the Dashing Widows Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

The characters were well written and the story did not rely on sex to move the reader to want to find out more about Lady Caroline & Lord Stone. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking at the other books in the series.

This was a quick read and I love when a romance develops with people who have already know each other. There is a lot of romantic tension to build up to a beautiful ending.

Good character development and storytelling in a novella length book that sets up the others in the series.

A merry tale of three widows who helped each other through their lonely days and are now plotting and pulling each other into being dashing widows who have come out of mourning. Caroline is the first and a complete story. She never again wants the shackles of marriage which had been quite unpleasant. She seeks a lover instead. A friend, brother to her fellow widow, Silas, had been coming around about a year and making her laugh. She confides her plan to him at her first party on the prowl. Stunned when he offers himself she dismissed his idea quickly and did not wish to damage their friendship. He then agrees to rat on his friends and assist her in selecting a good, discrete lover. As he finds many reasons to slam each candidate she selects, the anguish and comedy are apparent. She decides to go ahead with one he discouraged her from selecting. What happens next is what you will have to read the book to know. Enjoyable plot.

Three young widows become friends during their mourning period and decide to look for fun, or love, when it's over. This is Caroline's story. What she thinks she wants, may not be what she really needs. This is a cute, well written short story. Easily read in an evening. I enjoyed it and look forward to the next one in this trilogy.

The singular combination of Anna Campbell's enormously creative imagination and pen will stir your senses with the first novella, The Seduction of Lord Stone, in her Dashing Widows series. To be expected her trademark, in-depth, edgy character portrayals breakthrough for yet another standing ovation in this author's latest work. Seduction by wit, charm, physical attraction and underlying love all vie against looming ties to the past and produce an impassioned courtship that will consume you as well as the story’s ensemble! A wonderful read, that is as close to virtual chocolate as you can get, this novella is one that should not be missed!

A delightful Regency romp! What a refreshing romance, skillfully written by Anna Campbell, with charming characters that you won't be able to resist loving! Readers who love regencies, will be delighted with The Seduction of Lord Stone, a beautiful novella in her new series. I found Silas and Caroline's story so refreshing, charming and fun to read. It's perfect for an afternoon read! I could not put it down, I had to read it in one shot! Set in London 1820, Caroline, Lady Beaumont, a young thirty years old widow. While being married, she had lived a lonely life without passion, she is now independent and ready to seek adventure by finding a lover. Along with her two friends, young widows, too, Helena and Fenella, they decide to call themselves the dashing widows! Who will capture her heart? Enters in her life, devilish Silas Nash, a long time friend and confident, who secretly “admires” her. Then the fun began and a delightful game of seduction started between Silas and Caroline. I really love all of Anna Campbell's stories! I highly recommend this novella filled with humor, hope and passion. A sexy romance to enjoy! A must to read! I’m looking forward to read Helena and Fenella’s own stories in Tempting Mr. Townsend and Winning Lord West.

The story had a couple of good moments and a few annoying ones... Mostly Caroline wanting to be a dashing widow and being afraid to recognize her own desire
