Politics, puppy dogs, and passion, oh my!
When his Republican opponent outs him with a photo in a Facebook post, Senator Samuel Dalton doesn’t have many options open to him. It doesn’t matter that the photo is totally innocent. He has no choice but to come clean… until his staff suggest putting a spin on it that leaves Sam reeling.
Sure, he’ll end up with a lot of sympathy, not to mention the possibility of more voters from the LGBT community, but it still seems a pretty drastic solution.
Now all they have to do is persuade Gary, the other man in the photo, to play along. It sounds so easy: convince the constituents of North Carolina that he and Sam are engaged.
No big deal, except for the fact that they’ve only just met….
About the Author
K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, when the purchase of a ménage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative. An even bigger discovery waited in the wings-writing about men in love was even hotter....
K.C. now writes full-time and is loving every minute of her new career.
The laptop still has no idea of what hit it... it only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes.
And as for those men in love that she writes about? The list of stories just waiting to be written is getting longer... and longer....
K.C. loves to hear from readers.

I love it!! It was a nice sweet romance. What i think would have been AMAZING was if there would have been more dinky and sam interactions. Soo cute!!
If you are looking for a sweet, fun but not a deep thinking or feeling book. One that you can just read with out investing too much time or energy in, than this is it. Taking three words from the blurb, No big deal. And sometimes we all need those books. I know I do. We’ve got the Senator, a closet gay man, and the guy who inadvertently ends up in a photo that sends both of them on a path neither one excepted. Samuel, is the fun loving character, that is everyone’s, loves animals and small children. On the side of the homeless and well, has not done anything wrong. Gary, is a student that is about to start Vet school, seems kinda shy and naive about the world in general. Together they start this fake courtship, that of course turns into a real one. And we get the pleasure of watching them slip and slid through this relationship behind closed doors as well as in front of the public eye. And what good love wouldn’t be complete with out our villain. And this one does set a good baseline. Overall this story is pretty predictably, but fun to read and had me sighing, laughing, and left me with an overall happy feeling at the end.
If I could rate this higher I would. Absolutely entertaining read with really lovable characters.
I just got this book in the mail. Yes a real book and not one on my nook! I like to be able to hold a book in my hands and read. This book was well worth the money. Just a great story with some great people in it. You will want to read this no stop. That's how great this story is. Sam and Gary will make you want more. Get this book how ever works best for you...nook or book form. You will be happy you did.
When a man, especially a prominent man, is forced to reveal his sexual orientation, it can go badly. However, in this case a solution to bad press is considered and accepted so Sam, the virginal senator, has a chance to get to know a man who perhaps is The One before falling in love. Sam is a closeted gay man who has been elected to the Senate. He is very careful about his public (and private) image until he is seen hugging another man and gossip takes over. Sam has never been with another man. He can’t be out and retain his Senate seat, or so he thinks. Gary is smothered with debt. Student loans and veterinary school tuition leave him with little money for anything else. When a scheme is presented to him that will absolve those obligations it is worth considering as long as his heart isn’t involved. Neither man believes they will actually develop feelings for the other but it happens so fast their heads and hearts spin. A homophobic opponent for Sam’s Senate seat tries to take advantage of what he thinks is a scandal but the plan to cover the situation with a lie turns true and Sam’s constituents revel in the real life love story playing out in the media. Oh, and there is a dog to love in the story, too. *sigh* Ms. Wells writes love stories. That’s what she does. And this one is pure sweetness and joy with only a little angst. This is one I will read and reread just for the feel good vibes. Enjoy!
