I received a free ecopy of this book for an honest review. What a great book for children! The Seven Natural Wonders of the Earth is part of a series called My First Travel Books. In this book, Captain Frankie of Angelic Airlines takes you on a journey to the Seven Natural Wonders. It starts with a flag for each country that contains a Natural Wonder as well as a map of the world showing the Wonders. For each of the Wonders there is a picture, a poem about it, a page with information about the Wonder, and questions to answer. The Seven Natural Wonders of the Earth is a great book for children to learn about some of the Wonders in our world.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary book as a member of Beck Valley Book Tours. All opinions are my own. We love to travel as a family and I am always on the lookout for things that will help my kids learn more about the world around them. I love travel books and feel they give the reader a chance to learn a little bit of new information about destinations before they head out on a trip. The Seven Natural Wonders Of The Earth (My First Travel Books) by Anna Othitis shows kids some of the most wonderful places in the world to visit. I feel like it is kid friendly enough to instill in them a sense of wonder and awe. I wish that I'd had books like this when I was little. I think it would have made me more interested in Geography. I would have paid more attention in class! My kids loved looking at the pictures and reading about all the places we may never get the chance to visit. The photos and illustrations in the book are beautiful, yet it is written in a way that children can understand and really get captivated by. The kids felt like they were on a real tour with Captain Frankie leading the way. The map inside helped them to really visualize where in the world the Seven Wonders are. I like that parts of the story describe a little about each attraction. It then has a  Q&A to help the kids remember what they've learned. It isn't just a picture book. I haven't had the chance to read the 1st book in the series but after having read the 2nd, I'll definitely be purchasing the 1st and continued books in the My First Travel Books series.

Follow Captain Frankie with Angelic Airline Adventures as he flies you over seven natural wonders on earth. Each wonder is a beauty in itself. This is the second book from the My First Travel Books series. Each of the seven wonders is explained, and includes a picture and poem, followed by questions to instill the facts to memory.  This is the perfect book for introducing your child to different parts of the world and its beauty. It’s written in easy to read style, with a learning curve that the child won’t notice. Even though it is written for a child, I learned a few things also. I liked the way the yellow airplane was integrated in each picture. It looks so cool and really pops against each background. It has a nice bookplate on the inside cover for recording who it belongs to, as well as who gifted it.

This is a lovely travel book for children which introduces them to the seven natural wonders of the world, from the Grand Canyon to the Great Barrier Reef.  The kids are taken on a flight with Captain Frankie who introduces each wonder with a poem.  Then there are some interesting facts and a mini quiz.  It's a light entertaining way to teach the kids about geography.  We really enjoyed it.

ooks that take you to other parts of the world are always interesting to read, especially with the little ones. In this book, by Anna Othitis, the reader takes a trip on the Angelic Airlines with Captain Frankie. As the reader travels to each location they are taught a few facts and are ask questions to engage them in the reading. There are photos of the actual locations so the reader can see what the location really looks like, opposed to an illustration of some kind. I really enjoyed reading the book and will be reading it a second time with my nephew. This book will be something that he will enjoy reading.”

We received The Seven Natural Wonders of the Earth for review purposes. Being that I spend a lot of time teaching geography, I love that Anna included the flags of the countries where the Wonders are located!  Usually when I hear "Seven Wonders," I think of The Temple of Artemis or the Great Pyramids.  However, these are the natural wonders.  Amazing sites in our world, not created by human efforts.  The Seven Natural Wonders were identified by CNN in 1997.  Places like the Great Barrier Reef in Australia or our own Grand Canyon.  This book was a gentle way to expose my little girls, ages 4 and 8, to these natural wonders and to their locations on our planet.

This is a very cute childrens book that brings new destinations and adventures to life. The beginning is super cool, even the ebook has a place for you to write your child's name so you can print it out :) My 8 year old daughter loves it. I love the way the illustrations are real pictures of the world with cartoonish figures drawn on them :) And all of them show the plane flying overhead, showing kids that they can go on adventures and find new fun :) On the first page you see the captain with the airplane in the background and then you get to read his speech ... my daughter loves to pretend she is the captain and plays it all out! The flags page is amazing, I absolutely love the vibrant colors and all set against the blue sky with clouds that is the background for the whole book. I think my favorite part is the Northern Lights, I have always been fascinated by them and I love the image, it is just brought to life with the illustrations. Each part is told and then it has a series of easy questions you can ask your children to see if they remember what they read. And of course each one is a natural wonder of the world! My daughter loves the Great Barrier Reef with all the "fishies" as she calls them. But she loves to look at all the pics and tells me what each one is in her own way. At the end Captain Frankie asks the kids if they can remember the Seven Wonders of the World :) I received this book to review through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, all the opinions above are 100% my own.
