The Sheikh's Stubborn Lover by Leslie North

Sheikh Adilan Adjalane has always felt he has a lot to prove...and that's why he always wins. As the youngest in his hugely successful family, it's not easy to live in his older brother's shadow. So when he sees a chance get back his father's land, the former Olympian will fight to earn his place at the top of the family real estate business. But with an older brother who'll stop at nothing and a beautiful, feisty American landowner who refuses to sell, Adilan is struggling to remember that he always fights fair.

Teacher Michelle Reynolds has always wanted to see the world, and it doesn't take long for her to fall in love with the Middle East. She's always been open to compromise, but when Adilan Adjalane offers her cash for her land, Michelle refuses. She's determined to build a sanctuary on her mother's land, just as she promised. Besides, she's been warned about the Adjalanes. Adilan may be devastatingly handsome, but she knows he comes from a family of heartbreakers.

With the stakes getting higher and their attraction growing, will Adilan have to sacrifice his ethics to earn his place in the family business, or is Michelle more important than winning?

This family is so dramatic. Within The Sheikh's Stubborn Lover there are egos, power struggles and betrayals. These men know how to make and mysterious work for them. Adilan and Michelle have a soap opera worthy love story that involves quite a few bumps but is something to behold.

Michelle was on business to Al-Hilah. Michelle's mom could no longer travel so Michelle did, but Michelle's boyfriend Alan was on her case to have a family and stop traveling. Maybe he wasn't the perfect man for Michelle. Thing's seemed to happen a little too quick, but other than that, a good story. I liked the plot and characters. I recommend. **I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review

*ARC received from NetGalley in return for an honest review* I always enjoy stories by Leslie North and this book is no exception. Michelle is in Al-Sarid to fulfill her mother's wish to build a sanctuary on the land she owns. Out to stop her is the powerful Adjalane family, who want that desert oasis returned to their family. Adilan Adjalane wants to take over the family business from his father, but it's a competition between himself and his oldest brother. The one who obtains the land wins. Sparks fly between Adilan and the Michelle and suddenly he's not so sure which prize he wants more, the company or the woman. This is another hot sheikh romance and a very enjoyable quick read.

Michelle Reynolds is is in the country of Al-Sarid to build a retreat on land that was given to her mother. Sheikh Adilan Adjalane wants to get the land back from Michelle before his oldest brother. Adilan. He offers her cash and when that is refused he tries a compromise then seduction. Michelle has been warned by her mother that the Adjaline men are dangerous heart breakers and Adilan is no different. Will the two reach a compromise? I am a big fan of Leslie North's and this is the second in the series that I have read and loved. I like her fast paced novellas. I liked the characters. As much as I liked it, I had some issues. If things are going to be on the synopsis that appears everywhere, they have to be in the book. When I was done, I didn't remember any reference to Adilan being an Olympian. And there isn't any mention to Michelle being a teacher. I used the handy-dandy search tool and the only hits I got was in the synopsis. I also would have loved to know what happened between Michelle's mother and Adilan's father. That being said, I reviewed the book, not the synopsis. Loved the book. It is a quick five star read. When I buy the books in a series as they come out, I read them. Then when the series is done, I go back and read all of them together. It makes a great afternoon. I received this ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thank you. This book was reviewed on my blog :

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. From the very first page to the very last, Leslie North has written a story that is intriguing and keeps you interested. Ms. North has a unique talent of giving her readers exactly what they want. She has the ability to make her characters seem real and you can't help but care for them. Her stories are intense, consuming, and ridiculously sexy.
