The Simple Science of Wellness: Sixty Unusually Effective and Accessible Practices to Restore Your Health and Vitality
The Minimalist's Guide to Maximum Health
Discover powerful, practical ways to transform your health without spending all your time and money. This guide presents 60 evidence-based interventions for enhancing everything from sleep and stress to immunity and longevity. These have been collected by the author over decades of medical practice with thousands of patients. Most techniques are simple enough to start today, perfect for self-motivated health explorers. A weekly newsletter (Simple Science, on beehiiv), companion workbook, and live course are also in the works.
The unique premise of this work is that the scientific literature contains numerous poorly known but truly effective health practices that are both simple and inexpensive. Unlike typical wellness advice that stays vague ("eat better, exercise more"), this book delivers specific, actionable ideas. Most interventions are free or low-cost, with a few premium options included for their exceptional impact.

The book is organized into seven focused chapters:
  • Fasting methods and their diverse benefits
  • Free/low-cost interventions (like single-leg hopping for bone health)
  • No-cost practices requiring some learning (such as anxiety-reducing techniques)
  • Premium interventions worth the investment (for instance, learning plyometrics)
  • Cost-effective health upgrades (like air filtration)
  • Progress-tracking methods
  • Motivation maintenance strategies

A companion workbook and course are in development.
Consider this a type of "biohacking" for the "rest of us."
