Charlotte’s story and the search for her mother continue. There are new clues, new roadblocks, and new connections. As always, the book has twists, turns, surprises, and suspense galore. I really enjoy how the author teases history out of the past in flashbacks that give the reader little tasty morsels one bite at a time. I feel like a detective trying to piece together the past along with Charlotte. The book ends with a cliffhanger, but fortunately the author doesn’t usually make us wait too long for the next book. This book is about Charlotte's search for her mother. It's very mysterious and interesting as it brings up the past and people better left buried.. It's not quite as erotic as most of Simone Leigh's books, but makes up for it in the intrigue around her mother's disappearance. The pieces of Charlotte's and Beth's past are slowly coming together. Information is being found in the crates and boxes of Beth's departed Uncle Albert. Simone Leigh is very nicely tying up the lose ends laying things out with heart palpating detail. What is surprising is even when confronted, Beth's family is still denying the existence of Charlotte's mother. And at the last, we find there is still a mole within the group and you can mentally hear the music "da dah daahhh"!! This has been one emotional ride and I can't wait to see where the next book takes us. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This installment of Charlotte's Search will take your breath away. It is adventurous with its content and the characters are mind blowing. In this thriller you come up against Richard Haswell and his past relating to Charlotte. As you read it I swear your eyes will be bugging out of your head. As per the author she puts the spin on a dark suspense and D-A-M-N!!!! This woman knows how to make the hot bits burn. A suspenseful story is told but it also reveals a dark journey which is so delicious. Another great story that earns all FIVE STARS I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
