I loved Colin and Mara. Colin gave me hope that there are men out there who truly LOVE. In spite of all the obstacles trying to get between them, Colin never gave up on his one and only love. While I thought he should have given Amara space to figure out her messed up life, he proved to me the true depth of feelings and surety in their future together. Thank you Claire for giving me faith in HEA.

**arc provided by author in exchange for an honest review** After the ending of TDC, I patiently (ok NOT SO patiently) waited for TSB to be released and was lucky enough to receive an advanced copy. I was excited to see how Amara’s story ends and  WAS.NOT. DISAPPOINTED. We watch Amara struggle with so much and she definitely holds the title of one of the strongest and most resilient female characters written today. I was glad characters that I didn’t think would be such a presence in Amara’s life, but were. TSB grabs you right from the start and is full of sex, love and betrayal. TSB will keep you guessing all the way to the very end. I love when an author keeps you guessing and makes me say to myself “WOW! I didn’t expect that…or that…or THAT! I liked that Claire went a little darker in this book than her others. It’s nice to see authors that can take a step in a direction that separates one series from another.

This two part series kept me on the edge the entire time wondering what would happen next. It was steamy, suspenseful, sad and frustrating at times - I loved it.

Both books were very good. The ending could have had more detail and been less abrupt.
