Reviewed by Cheryl Schopen for Readers' Favorite Angela Lynn Spade paints a very clear picture of what it’s like to have siblings in The Sisters Bell. Vivi had her parents all to herself for the first ten years of her life. When Bits and Swoosie came along within a few years of each other, they ruined all of that, or so Vivi thought. Years later, well into their adulthood, their father sends them on a forced vacation just before Swoosie is supposed to get married, hoping they will somehow find a way to finally get along. Making the self-centered younger sister, the sarcastic, wild middle child, and the pretentious older sibling spend a few days together brings some unexpected results. Instead of wanting to rip each others’ throats out, they soon start opening up to each other and realizing that nothing can be compared to the bond between sisters. While reading The Sisters Bell by Angela Lynn Spade, you will undoubtedly see not only yourself but also your siblings in each of the sisters. I saw a little piece of myself and both of my siblings in these characters, and I could absolutely connect with the idea of the love/hate relationship that brothers and sisters seem to always have; this book was more relatable than anything I have ever read. It will leave you wanting to call your sister (or brother) and spend some quality time that you’ve been meaning to do for a while now. With the dynamic characters and well-written plot, it had me laughing out loud one moment and wiping the stream of tears away the next. Being an avid reader, I can surprisingly and honestly say that this is now one of my top five favorite books. I will be keeping this around and reading it often, especially when I want to be reminded of how lucky and blessed I am to have my siblings. If you want to read a story full of heart, laughter, tears, and love that only sisters know, then I guarantee that you will enjoy this book as much as I did.

I wasn't sure at first if this was something I could get into. I've never read anything like this before and had never heard of the author. Turns out, it's one of the best stories I've read in a long time. I love the twists and turns and the "realness" and "relate-ability of the  characters. HUGE kudos to the author! This rocks!
