When their grandson, Bobby, goes through the winter ice never to be seen again, George's health begins to decline. As summer bears down, George is near death, but the snowman he'd made with Bobby on that tragic day remains, unmovable. Mamie has nearly given up trying to make the snowman go away until a young girl brings advice.
