The Sock Knitter's Handbook: Expert Advice, Tips, and Tricks based on 0 ratings. 2 reviews.
I have been knitting socks for several years and I have several sock related books. I purchased this book because I thought it would be a handy reference book that I can take along with me. However, I am quite disappointed in this book. The directions are poorly written. The directions bounce back and forth between written for 2 circular needles /magic loop and double pointed needles (dpns) without telling the reader. Overall, I found the instructions to be poor;y written and confusing. I consulted a couple of sock books in my library and compared like-minded techniques, i.e. construction of a toe-up heel with gusset and found the instructions to be more clear and thorough. In my opinion, do not purchase this book. I have recommend The Knitter's Book of Socks by Clara Parkes.
This is a great reference book.
