DOMINATE MEN AND FEISTY WOMEN What a delightful collection of five stories by five very talented authors.  Each story has a common theme, the bastard sons of the late Johnny Hastings.  Also, the feisty women in each of the dominate male characters life!  None of the men had any idea that they have brothers until the letters they receive from the Pinkerton Detective Agency informing them of the demise of Johnny Hastings and the reading of the will.  Each man must go to Denver, and the journey along the way is the story.  These stories all blend so well together and each of the men know how to handle these misbehaving women, but taking them over their knee and soundly spanking them, and often.

Many times I find a boxed set does not live up to it's name, especially when done by different authors. This book, every book in this set is very good. I am pleasantly surprised with it. I hope to see a continuation of it, maybe see how the brother from Boston's twin fares. All of the brothers practice D\D , and I would enjoy knowing more about why their father would not involve himself in their lives in any way, maybe the answer is in the diaries he left. There are so many possibilities for more books or another book with the answers. Thank you, all five authors fr this great set of books.

This was a very entertaining set by five very talented authors. I enjoyed each story individually and found it easy to move from one to the next. The brothers are all strong men, having made good of themselves despite their rather harsh beginnings. They all choose feisty and spirited women who need exactly what they receive. Love conquers all and that is what I like to read. Very well done and would recommend to anyone.

Oh my! The reviews above would be hard to top. Each of the five stories can be stand alone stories  but they all have a common thread which is they all had the same father and yet they never met nor knew that they had siblings. One of the brothers had a twin sister and met each other in a touching way. I would love to see another series to follow up on each of the sons and daughter.  Each author is awesome. They made me laugh, cry and got me emotionally involved and I was up all night because I had to finish and then I wanted more.

Sons 1 The Lawman’s Lessons by Patty Devlin I love this first book in the series! Celia has come to Denver to be a schoolteacher. She deliberately used her initials instead of her name when applying so that the school board thought they were hiring a man. When they realize she is a woman they decide that she must marry so that a man might look out for her and protect her. Marshall Jackson Owens steps up to marry her to protect her, but he really wants her as she is different from any woman that he knows. So, after a spanking because she slaps him, Celia agrees to marry him. I liked that Celia is an independent woman. There is a double standard in this story, but to be honest, life was a double standard then as well! Jackson and Celia get to know one another for several months before they consummate their marriage. Through those months, Celia gets quite a few spanking. The only drawback to this wonderful story is that it is so short. Only 84 pages. I am getting tired of buying novellas. I would willingly pay a little more for more meat to the story. 5 stars! Sons 2 The Blacksmith’s Bride by Patricia Green I always love Patricia Green’s books. This is the story of Abel and Sunny. Sunny recently moved to Carrollton from Kansas City with her mother after her father died. Sunny’s mother wants her to make a good match. She tells Abel, “We come from a long line of bankers and businessmen. I'm afraid we'd have little to discuss with a tradesman." Of course, Sunny likes Abel. She is determined to have him and she earns a few spankings from Abel because of the way she goes about it. This is a good story. Abel is determined to be the HoH in their relationship. Sunny is willing to accept his spankings, but she still is a strong character. A lovely addition to the Sons of Johnny Hastings set! 4 stars! Sons 3 Outlaw’s Bride by Renee Rose I was so happy to see that Renee Rose wrote one of the stories in this set. All the books I’ve read by her are so good. She gives lots of details and her spankings are hot! This is the story of Sam and Mabelle. Mabelle came out to Wyoming to help nurse her sister who had consumption. Once there, her brother-in-law Frank was killed by Indians. Her sister gave up and died several weeks later. Mabelle was left alone to run the ranch. Sam was being forced to ride with a gang. He was wanted for killing four men in Colorado Terrritory. They came to the ranch for shelter and, sparks began to fly! Eventually, the gang is killed and Mabelle and Sam take their bodies to Cheyenne. There they meet the Pinkerton man who delivers the letter about Sam’s father dying. They decide to travel there together as they have fallen in love and they have a plan to get the bounty off of Sam’s head. This book is really good. I stayed up reading way later than I should! There is a great story and very hot spankings. Mabelle seems to always be in trouble. But, the making up after is pretty hot too. I highly recommend this story! 5 stars! Sons 4 Juniper Bride by Maddie Taylor Another great book in the Sons of Johnny Hastings series. This one is a little different in that Clinton and Emmalee are from Boston. Emmalee is engaged to Clint when he finds out about his father. Clint was adopted as a baby by a prosperous couple in Boston. He is a shipbuilder. Emmalee is a proper young lady. When Emmalee questions where Clint is going, she is spanked because she won’t accept that it doesn’t concern her. So, when Clint leaves the next day on the train, she buys a ticket and follows him. This is the start of the troubled that Emmalee gets into. Clint has to rescue her many times, and she gets spanked many times as well. The spankings and the lovemaking are very hot! I liked Clint and Emmalee as a couple. Clint is overprotective, but he thinks that Emmalee is a strong person. I really liked this next addition in the series. 5 stars Sons 5 To Have and to Scold by Mary Wehr This is the last book in the Sons of Johnny Hastings series. This is about Matt and Annie. Annie has been in love with Matt since she was little. But, he was only annoyed by her and so he spanked her. Finally, Matt hurts Annie’s feelings when she is 15 and Annie decides to stay away from him. When Annie is 18, her father dies and she is left with her stepmother, Eva and stepbrother, Robbie. The ranch has been gambled away by Annie’s father and Eva comes up with the plan to drug Annie and marry her off to a rancher’s son that Annie doesn’t like. Annie runs and decides to take up work in the saloon. Matt finds her there and decides that he loves Annie and that they need to marry. The rest of the story goes into Matt and Annie’s marriage and how they save Annie’s ranch. I really liked this book. There are plenty of spankings, but they are done in a loving manner. Matt is the head of his household and Annie learns her place. Matt loves Annie, but she needs to learn that she is a lady and to follow Matt’s lead. 4 stars!
