Very inspirational and practical with overall hints and tips as well as specific ones as dig into details of each plan. There's even a "motivational makeover" each day to help provide positive reinforcement. If you've read books like this before, some of the information may be repetitive, but I found the reminders never hurt. And there were a lot of little tidbits I didn't know before. The book is very inspiring with its can-do, non-judgmental attitude. While the title says it "fast tracks weight loss", the back cover notes it's reasonable amounts. This is not a "two week diet" to lose a lot of weight. It's a two-week jump start program for if you're losing 20 pounds or 200. Recipes are fantastic, tasty and filling. But watch the shopping list. They try and provide variety, but for a one week/two week plan, it can be an expensive pantry buy. Read through the recipes and meal plans (and serving size) to see what you may freeze want to do as leftovers to save money. I even, after buying the book in the store, bought it for my nook so I could highlight/have tips for on the go.
This book is loaded with all kinds of information as well as recipies and exercises to help you along a positive healthy life-changing lifestyle. I would recommend this book to anyone who is wanting to change their life for the better and to improve their overall health. It really does work!!

This book is well laid out and has a simple, healthy plan to help transform your life. As they say, it is not a diet, it is a lifestyle change. They do not burden you with too much statistics and they have stocked the book full of real people and their experiences. The recipes do an excellant job of teaching portioning and can easily be modified to fit individual tastes. The exercise plan can be modified to fit your personal fitness level and can be built upon from that point. Finally, the reminder to reflect upon your day and see the good steps you have taken and not just the failures is a wonderful reminder that good health is a journey.
Why Not try there is encouragement, advice, recipes, exercises, friendly people thru out the book. And it's working.
This book is absolutely essential for anyone looking to get their lives on track and make a positive change into a healthy-lifestyle! I've been a fan of SparkPeople for a while, so this is a great supplement to the website. A must-have for everyone!
