Yes, that's my family on the cover—all ten of us! We had to get creative to include two of our sons who were out of the state and country. I thought it was rather a genius idea, from my eldest daughter, to blow up their photos so they wouldn't be left out of my cookbook. That's how our family rolls: creative, spontaneous, and make-it-happen. In fact, that's how my recipes in this cookbook came about! I was missing an ingredient to a recipe, wanted to improve one I'd tried, or was inspired by something I found on sale at the market. I think it was the artistic side of me that I'd not expressed since art school that found another outlet through my cooking. As our family continued to grow through adoption, it was up to me to stretch the dollars and fill the stomachs. That meant fresh food made at home. No drive-thrus for this family! So come along with me and cruise through The Missing Ingredient's recipes. I think you'll discover what my family and friends have enjoyed for years: delicious food, happy palates, and the wish that you had enough for leftovers!

Title: The Spices of My Life - A Culinary Collection of Recipes, memories, and More Author: Tiffany Moen Publisher: Boutique of Quality Books Publishing Published: 11-1-2012 ISBN-13: 9781937084752 E-Book ASIN: B00A0DQM9U Pages: 247 Genre: Cookbooks Tags: Memoirs, Cooking, Food & Wine Tiffany Moen, like most of us with large families learn to be flexible in the kitchen. Then she learned even more. with a little tweaking she came up with some very original and exceptional tasty recipes. Then over several months, while using her family as guinea pigs, sorry, I mean taste testers, she perfected them for us to use in the cookbook aptly named The Spices of My Life - A Culinary Collection of Recipes, memories, and More. Much as her family is a blend of personalities, so her cookbook uses a multitude of different ingredients and spices. I grew up on banana bread and never thought I would find a recipes that was as moist and tasty as my mother's, but I did It is called Delightfully Moist Banana Bread. For those who like Monkey Bread there is a scrumptious Pull Apart Brown Sugar Cinnamon Bread that you will love. You need to add the Tomato And Red Pepper Salad to your repertoire. Any and all of the pasta recipes will be a hit with your family. I fell in love with the Ginger-Citrus Chicken, but my family favored the Blueberry Cobbler which of course is from the dessert section. These and so many more are found in The Spices of My Life - A Culinary Collection of Recipes, memories, and More cookbook. These recipes are easy enough for the beginner cook, but tasty enough to make you look like a pro to your friends and family. Be sure to add this cookbook to your favorite go to shelf when wanting a recipe to appeal to even the finicky eater in your home.
My latest find on great recipes was found in a new cookbook I purchased at Barnes and Noble over the holidays. It is called "Spices of My Life". This is not your ordinary recipe book! The author has taken everyday meals and turned them into something extraordinary by adding her own unique twists. Her secret seems to be pulling from different ethnicities to create amazing flavors. I recommend this book to anyone looking to add unique flavors to classic meals. And best of all, the recipes are simple and affordable... nothing complicated and with ingredients you already have. This book shows you how to combine these ingredients in a unique and delicious way!!!
