About the Author

Tammy Tate was born and raised in Hollywood, Florida but has lived most of her adult life in Texas. Her passion to write began in high school and follows her everywhere she goes creating a world where anything is possible. She's been married to the same amazing man for over thirty-five years. Her secret to a long marriage? It's easy when you marry your best friend. In her world Friday night is still date night. Before becoming a full-time author, she was an Executive Secretary, a Computer Consultant/Technician, and a Communications Officer (Police Dispatcher). She doesn't mind a challenge and has raced a late-model in a women's powder puff race, ran barrels and poles in a play-day rodeo and drove an 18-wheeler. She and her husband have raised three wonderful children. If she's not breathing life into her characters, she’s spending time with her husband. December 2013, she signed her first book contract with a traditional publisher and has since become a best selling, award winning author.

She loves to hear from you~

Old West Time Travel and Romance, July 19, 2014  By Romance reader  This review is from: The Spirit Path (The Spirit Path Series Book 1) ( Romance author Nicole is passionate about two things—writing and riding her palomino horse Buck. Usually her dog Harley and her friend, Tracy, accompany her. But one day when Tracy can’t go with her, Nicole takes off for a ride on her own. A deer leaps into their path and spooks her horse. Thrown off-balance, Nicole falls off her horse, lands on a rock and gets knocked unconscious. When she awakes, and looks for her horse who wandered off, something isn’t right. The landscape has changed, the highway is gone…and there are buffalo grazing on the grass! Finally, she sees someone in the distance. But when he gets closer, she sees he is no ordinary man; he appears to be a Native American from the days of the old west, straight off the History Channel. And he seems to have some odd power over her big dog—and her. Fortunately, Flaming Arrow speaks English as well as his native Sioux language. But when she finds herself in danger from the Apaches who would kill her and Flaming Arrow, Nicole finally realizes she’s no longer in 1997; she’s somehow been transported back in time. Will she ever get back home to her own time? And what will become of her relationship with Flaming Arrow? This short story has a surprise ending. Read it and find out!

I really enjoyed the story of Nicole and Flaming Arrow. I thought the author did a wonderful job with the characters and storyline. You could feel the chemistry between them. From the very beginning, they had chemistry. Nicole and Flaming Arrow are different as night and day and they fell in love. The author left you wanting more. I am really looking forward to reading more books by Tammy Tate. I love her writing and she has a way of drawing you in the book. I am looking forward to finding out if Nicole will ever see Flaming Arrow again in the next book.

Fascinating time travel story about a woman who falls off her horse and ends up in the old West. Stunned and lost, the heroine Nicole eventually comes across a handsome Sioux Indian brave, Flaming Arrow, who protects her. Really interesting story. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys time travel stories, romance, or both.

I've always loved time travel based stories and so this turned out to be a good read for me. Short and sweet, the author managed to keep me engaged throughout the book with a little bit of both mystery and romance. The book is well-researched and has an interesting storyline and a bit of a twist in the end. Overall, I enjoyed reading it. Time-travel fans will definitely like this one!

The Spirit Path leads the reader into another time when Native Americans roamed the land and warred with one another. TammyTate seemed to do her research on what was going on in 1812. Her main character, Nicole, is thrown into the earlier time and has a steamy romance with Flaming Arrow. She masters the love scenes! I'll watch for more writing from Tammy Tate in the future.

Nicole is fresh out of a necessary break-up with her boyfriend, Eric. They had plenty of physical chemistry, but not much else. He loves the city life, wearing suits and living in a fancy apartment, while Nicole is a country girl. Her favorite pastime is riding her horse, Buck, across the wide open spaces of Texas. One day, when Nicole and Buck head out on a ride, accompanied by her Rottweiler Harley, she finds herself tumbling with them into a startling adventure to the past. No romantic adventure would be complete without a man who has the physical chemistry and the sensitivity of her new protector, and Nicole finds herself hoping this isn't just a dream, even though this new (or old) reality seems impossible. This romance is a quick read, but lovers of time travel, American history, horses, dogs, country music, and, of course, sensual pleasure will find themselves lingering over the rich details that Tammy Tate includes in this story. There's plenty of steam and a bit of mystery in this tale, and at the end I found myself hoping that this is just the beginning.

An enjoyable story, but definitely a tease. It leaves the reader wondering how and when Nicole will meet Flaming Arrow again. Has the author written a Book Two yet? If not, I hope she will. I would have liked the hero to be a little more wild, and trust that will happen in a follow-up book. But he's a hero to like. This is a quick and interesting read that allows you to escape for a short while into a less hurry-up world of the past. An enjoyable story, but definitely a tease

I thought the book was excellent. I could not put it down until I had read the whole thing. I felt like I was right there with her. I hope there is another book coming soon.

Misspelled words, poorly punctuated, too much minute description that adds nothing to the story... and I only made it to page 35 of this 90 page book. I read that one can hire an editor quite inexpensively for ebook self-publishing. Look online.

Dumb ending. No conclusion. Short.
