About the Author

~A Letter from Jessica E. Subject~

Dear Reader,

I absolutely love fairy tales! I always dreamed about a handsome prince coming to rescue me on his noble steed. But as I grew older and more fascinated with space, the prince I imagined came from another planet and arrived on Earth in a spaceship. Okay, so maybe he resembled a certain superhero in red and blue tights. ;)

Anyway, when Decadent announced this new line, I was really excited to write an alien fairy tale, but I worried about the Grimm tale I would be assigned to base my story on. Luckily, The Star Money is very short, so I had a lot of room for interpretation.

Arranged marriage is a practice that still happens today in some cultures, and was an aspect I’ve always wanted to include in one of my stories. But, imagine being betrothed to someone from another planet, one whose culture you knew barely anything about, a culture you would be thrust into when you left your home to be with him. I know I would have a hard time. While it would be fascinating to visit another planet, leaving everything I know behind would leave me extremely home sick and possibly lonely.

But that’s not the only problem Princess Ro’sa must deal with. Instead of falling in love with the prince she is to wed, she is smitten with his aide.

I do hope you enjoy reading The Star Princess.

Wishing you all the very best!

In one week, Princess Ro’sa will board a spaceship, leaving her home on Minjet to be with her betrothed on Earth. The only problem is, she detests the prince’s selfish and arrogant ways, preferring to spend time with his personal aide, a man who stirs her desires in ways she never imagined possible with his radiant blue eyes and smouldering lips. And oh, the way he touches her. Earth’s post-apocalyptic landscape offers little, but the alliance offers much, and a princess must do her duty, no matter the danger to her person and to her heart. This book was fast-paced short read and pulls you right in. also written well. all character's very like able. story of mistaken identities and arranged marriages,passion-lusted and danger of being attacked. this is the first book i've read from this author and won't be last. I love this book!! JBR reviewer-- Olivia R. 5 stars

This short but sweet sci-fi spin on Star Money by the Grimm brothers was exactly what I needed this week. A prince who disguises his true identity and when he fesses up Ro'sa doesn't believe him, and doesn't even give him a chance until after she escapes her planet after being ambushed. All in all, this book was very well rounded even at 75 pages. Ms. Subject's sci-fi erotic romance at the end of the day is memorable, and very much a favorite of mine.
