I was given this book by the author for an honest review. I would give this story 3.5 stars. This was a very interesting and entertaining story. I really enjoyed the plot; there were a lot of different events that happen which will keep a reader  wanting to read further. The story is told in first person by a variety of characters. There are lots of twists and surprising information that kept me intrigued with the whole story. The reason I did not give it five stars was because I did not like any of the characters. There is a reason why Ms. Mann developed the characters the way she did. I won't give too many spoilers away but I have to warn whoever wants to read this story that most of the characters are not likable at all.  I had to force myself to read on because the story itself was  compelling. There were numerous times that I had to disregard a character's thoughts and feelings because some of it was ridiculous. I also did not like that the story revolved around a group of teens that were stuck with each other and couldn't work as a team for most of it. That played a big part on why I did not like the characters, it's hard to believe that people that had to be stuck with each to survive could be so selfish. Kale, the character that the book focuses on, isn't as bad as the others. She was a frustrating character to like but she ended growing on me slightly, not much. All of the characters are well developed, they just aren't appealing. There were also some details that I thought needed to be explained more to a reader. Some descriptions were vague. For example, people are suppose to be able to "know" people just by looking at their eyes because everyone in Quanx has "eyes unique to themselves, each person's eyes were his or her signature, They defined people". One of the characters, Kale, disguises herself as a boy and she only hides her eyes from one person because she met that person before. … but no one else seems to recognize her at all. In the beginning of the story every one seemed to know who anyone was just by looking at their eyes so some parts were confusing. I'm sure the sequel will have answers to the questions/actions that were not explained at all. The story was an easy read, besides some of the facts that didn't make sense or connect the entire story or characters. Overall, I would recommend this book if you're interested in a very different type of fantasy novel that involves dragons and war. Hopefully others will like the characters more than I did. It was a great story. I would like to thank Ms. Mann for sharing her work with me.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to read this book. The storytelling was real, down to earth, interesting, and creative. The characters were intriguing, honest, compelling, and real. Given To Me For An Honest Review The Stolen Dragon of Quanx: The Eyes Trilogy by Becca Mann is the first novel in The Eyes Trilogy.  When you begin reading it you will get  a feeling of yourself being pulled into a fantastic fantasy world.  It will grab you from the beginning and you will find yourself just turning page  after page after page and turning the pages until the end.  There are twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.  After you  get to the end you are going to be asking for the next novel. And then the next.  This is a great fantasy and I know you will enjoy it just as I  did.  I gave it 5 stars but it deserves more than that.  I highly recommend this book to everyone.  I look for more from Becca Mann.
