Almost dying on his wedding day might have been the easy part.
For eighteen years, geeky artist Patrick Centrina thought he was an average human guy—gods was he ever wrong. Now he has two blue horns growing out of his skull, and his former rival-in-love is the older brother he never knew he had.
But if Patrick thinks narrowly escaping death was the hardest part of becoming a Neodaemon, he’s in for a rude awakening. Because his new-found abilities are already starting to leak through his human facade, and it’s only a matter of time before someone notices. If Patrick wants to keep the most treasured parts of his old life—like his human best friend—he’ll have to become an expert liar, and quick.
But with his third wedding attempt fast approaching, accidentally outing himself as a daemon may be the least of his worries. Because the dark secrets of his past are starting to seep through the creaks, and this time they might just be lethal.

About the Author
Kat Vancil grew up in the heart of Silicon Valley where she amused herself by telling stories to anyone around her--her family, her friends...random strangers. Eventually she actually started writing those stories down instead of just spending hours hanging out in fake Ikea living rooms and telling her friends about them. Somewhere amongst all the character-torturing and epic explosions she managed to get a BFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University and open a graphics studio (Multi-tasking for the win!).
Kat still lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, two very crazy studio cats, and nine overfull bookcases. And when not running amuck in the imaginary worlds within her head, Kat can usually be found frolicking in her general geekiness.
