The Story of Aviation based on 0 ratings. 1 reviews.
ONE OF THE MOST BALANCED BOOKS on BASIC AVIATION HISTORY, and will broaden the American mind to the whole world of flight history, including reminders of the most important American contributions. Not your All-American fantasy of aviation history, but a WORLD-WIDE story. (In fact, thanks to British origins, it sometimes overemphasizes the importance of British aviation.) General aviation gets short shrift here, and military aviation (as in most American and British texts) is overemphasized. An easy read, and FUN, with most (possibly all) of the essential facts of aviation history. Excellent choice, if you only want one, good, cheap, richly-illustrated, basic, well-rounded book on the subject.
