You will enjoy the myriad of new ideas and activities. As an early childhood educator for over 35 years I must say that this book would be a welcome purchase for anyone teaching young children. Nina has compiled an excellent resource. This practical and friendly handbook contains a wealth of useful information. It is organized the way we teach by month and unit themes. It will help you develop an excellent repertoire of ideas.
Miss Nina's storytime is unlike any other. In an hour's time, my children had books read to them, they played games, enjoyed singing and fingerplays, made crafts and had snacks. There were poems and great book selections, with the children up and moving in between quiet sitting times. I could use this book at home too to offer some of these activities and take advantage of the extensive suggested reading lists. And I'm getting a copy for my son's preschool as well!
