Feisty redhead Mae Weston lives in Fire Gorge, a small Nevada town situated next to a Paiute Indian reservation. She talks too much, reads x-rated magazines and has moments of foolish bravado, but basically, she’s a small town girl with good intentions. When robbers become would-be killers, Mae has to shoot or be shot, putting herself in the middle of a criminal investigation.

Drake Stillwater is a Paiute who’s moved away from life on the reservation. He worked his way through the ranks in the regional security office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and then found his way to a job as Fire Gorge’s Police Chief. As Principle Investigator of the robbery and shooting at Mae’s convenience store, he has to work closely with her. She proves to be difficult, but a spanking calms her down.

It also riles her up, leading her to want another, and another. Drake doesn’t mind at all.

A very good book, but the "ta" thing drove me crazy. It made me stop every time I read it. Apparently, they speak perfect english until the word "to" comes up.

Thia is a great story about Mae Weston who works at her father's gas station in the small town of Fire Gorge, and Drake Stillwater who is Chief of Police and is investigating a robbery gone bad at the store. Mae sure does get worked up but Drake calms her right down with a good spanking. This only makes her want another which leads to a very interesting read with fun and interesting characters.

This stories sex scenes were so incredibly HOT. I mean ridiculously HOT. I was reading it at the beach and I turned red several times- and not from the sun!

I wish I had realized this was part of a series before I purchased it. The spanking were delicious and I plan to go back and purchase the rest of the stories in this series as soon as I can.

I had read several other Patricia Green stories (Liv's Journey: The Journey Series, Book One and I looked forward to this one - a story outside of her Journey Series) as soon as I saw it listed. I was not disappointed. The best thing about this story is the very realistic characters - something that Patricia Green does very well, and something I loved about her other books. Mae feels real, as does Drake. The sex is VERY VERY hot - very well done, and realistic. Drake's stress in having to deal with a robbery that may actually involve a member of his family (something Mae doesn't know) seemed very plausible. A very strong story and highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this story. Had a lot of detail and story development. Mae's character made me laugh and it was nice to see the relationship between Mae and Drake develop
