Very good book, and easy to follow. This is one of the simplest formats I've read for kicking the sugar habit. I'm 7 says into the 31-day sugar detox and I can already tell it'll be a success. The book does have a few typos but nothing serious. The writers do a good job at making their point without being overly scientific or telling me things that I don't care about. The skin care aspect is an especially nice bonus as how many of us neglect our skin and then wonder why we look so worn down and haggard.

Good message, but geared towards women looking to lose weight. If you're considering this book, know that while the principles apply to everyone, it's really written for an audience of women who want to lose weight and don't exercise regularly. The authors don't provide any guidance or adjustments for those looking to maintain weight or detox without giving up strenuous exercise. I also found that many conclusions were jumped to without much justification (e.g., avoid bananas but eat apples solely because of glycemic index [it's not that simple], or, red wine is okay because it contains resveratrol but all other alcohol is off limits [without any explanation]). Also, for men considering this book, know that a significant portion devoted to skin treatments. All in all the book contains a solid message with a decent plan to help you get healthier, but it's geared more towards women looking to lose weight.

It's not just another fad diet. It promotes a lifestyle change. This book incorporates a scientific basis for everything but is very easy to read nonetheless. Good read... Good book...great dietary recommendations!

I found the detox very simple to follow, lost 25 pounds and feel amazing. I'm constantly being told that I have a glow about me and I feel like a whole new woman.

Interesting book about cutting sugar out of your diet. Not the best writing in the world, but the authors do get their point across (eventually).
