Wow! Excellent book! I really enjoyed this book! Can't wait until the next one comes out to see what happens! I have been following the weekly chapters for the second book on your blog page but the suspense is killing me, I just want to whole book now, please;) Very creative and enjoyable read! Would definitly be awful if this were to really happen, scary thought! Fantastic book though! Loved it! Just like I love all of your books!

I didn't expect to be so quickly drawn into another apocalypse series. The setup is unique, characters engaging, pace page-turning. Fingers crossed for book 2...

Kept me on my Toes from the first couple pages to the last. The perspective writing was appreciated and helped build the story and characters greatly.

I am not quite sure what to rate this 230 page cliff hanger. The writing and editing are not the best, the book is gory, full of violence, death, some murder and disasters of all kinds , caused by an unknown source or naturaly has not yet been revealed. All kinds of animals perish in all manner of ways. There is no cursing or sex. This book is full of heart stopping adventure. The author has an incredible imagination and I could not stop reading no matter how much I was grossed out. I had to find out if my favorite characters made it out alive or.......not. I took a star off for being a cliff hanger and editing, the roughness of the editing and because, I had other things to do on a gorgeous Spring day, but could not put this down. I disagree with the reviewer, who said this was a third grade level book. I think the auther is just inexperienced and did a great job. For ages 16 and up, if they have a strong stomach and do not have nightmares. Intense. AD

Well worth the read. You fall in love with the main charecters and root for them! Hopefully something goes right for them. Action and suspence, and a little romance sprinkled in.

Great characters, good pacing, interesting premise, enough details, fascinating non-stop apocalyptic action drive this intense first book of a four book series. I read the entire book in one sitting.

I have read all four books in the series and totally enjoyed them! Carl and John were two of my favorite well developed characters. There is a little romance, but quite tame and young adult in nature (nothing graphic.) I have to disagree with the author, however, in that I feel a mature reader of 11-13 could easily handle these books. So, I would label them from YA to adult. Have fun reading!

Good story with a variety of characters. Running from so many different disasters and not knowing the cause. Just the need to survive.

This was a really good book! I think teens, YA, and adults will enjoy it. While there were no zombies Ms Stevens description of the scenes was incredible, you really felt like you were there, you could picture the devastation of volcanoes, floods and earthquakes. In a lot of the end of world stories, it seems people take forever to figure out what's going on. The characters here got moving and were still believable. The only thing that was a tiny bit frustrating was moving between 3 storylines. ***spoiler I'm not sure if they could have actually broken the hotel window. I thought it was weird the other floors seemed to be guarded but Al's floor wasn't and he also didn't have any other people in it. With that many people I would have thought at least another person. I was also curious as how they set up the stadium that fast and were able to have meals ready for people. Overall a great story! I'll be checking out the next in the series! GL to Ms Stevens!
