Overview

This story is about a Swan that finds a Rose that's already dead. He sees the true beauty despite it's appearance. While others see only the way it looks now. I hope that this story will teach children that beauty is not only in what you see but what is inside.

About the Author

Carrie Lea Williams was born in Saint Genevieve, MO Dec 18, 1977. From a young age she loved to listen to the stories her father would weave just for her at bedtime. It was no big surprise that she would also find joy in reading and writing. Carrie started out writing poems and short stories. In school her speech on anti-drugs got picked out of the whole school to be read in front of the Mayor of Poplar Bluff, MO. Since then she's been published in the Poplar Bluffs local news letter, she's also published several poems for the Literary Guide of Poetry, and on poetry.com. She's even received the Editors Choice award for her poem The Beast. More recently she's been published on clubmom.com for her articles about Baby Blues, Diabetic Pregnancy, and Club foot.
