About the Author

Ember Casey is a USA Today bestselling author who lives in Atlanta, Georgia in a den of iniquity (or so she likes to tell people). When she's not writing steamy romances, you can find her whipping up baked goods (usually of the chocolate variety), traveling (her bucket list is infinite), or generally causing trouble (because somebody has to do it).

the emotional catastrophe that is the leading lady's character is somewhat off-putting.

Enjoyable This is a great beginning of the series. Ashlyn had tried film school to do something to be part of her late parents to be a part of them. But she fell in love with Dante, he kept his family fame and their relationship separate and she didn't think he cared, so she ran. There years later and with her bakery doing well her friend Jack comes to her a cake for a !love premiere. The bad part Dante is the script writer.

( received as an ARC for honest review) Like the rest of Ember Caseys' books I have read, this book was just as captivating. I can't wait to read about Luca and the rest of the Fontaines.

My Thoughts: Ember Casey has always been a favorite of mine ever since she released her first book. I've picked up practically every book since and have yet to come across one that I didn't enjoy. This book is one I've been eagerly anticipating since The Secret to Seduction, and it didn't disappoint! Ashlyn and Dante used to be together three years ago, but when they meet again after all this time, it brings back all those memories. Dante doesn't want Ashlyn to disappear from her life again, so he goes out of his way to explain everything that happened from the past to the present. They've both changed over the years, but Ashlyn is reluctant to allow Dante back in her life. If she does, she's opening herself up to a lot more than just a relationship. Since he's a celebrity, and a well-known one at that, dating would shine the spotlight on both of them. Are they willing to try again despite the obstacles that could be ahead? The Sweet Taste of Sin is a sinfully sexy second chance romance. I loved how Ember incorporated the cake design into the story (from her personal experience). There was something about that aspect that added so much more to the story for me. The romance between Ashlyn and Dante was scorching AND adorable. I'm really looking forward to the next book in The Fontaines series! My Rating: Very Good

I received this as an ARC for an honest review. Ember Casey is amazing! The character development of Dante and Ashlyn was well written. We were able to see how their love story came full circle three years later. It was nice that it wasn't just the female pining for the male. We see there's more to how Dante feels about Ash than just sex. I want more of this series! Bring on Luca's story next.

Sweet Taste of Sin by Ember Casey A totally engrossing book!! Ashlyn had her heartbroken by Dante 3 years ago. When he pops back into her life, in a very embarrassing way, she's shocked by the emotions she still feels. Amazing character development, for both the main and secondary characters. The way this author pulled so many emotions out of me with a few well placed words...very well done.

Ember Casey does it again! Dante and Ash....sigh! Strong character development let us feel as if we were in their midst as this love story came full circle. Sweet, with just enough spice to make you wonder. (ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.)
