The Talcott House by Lucretia Bingham

A modern version of Daphne DuMaurier's Rebecca, The Talcott House is a fast paced romantic thriller set in the brooding environs of a waterfront mansion where an evil housekeeper plots to sabotage the passionate love of the two main characters, Stuart and Ophelia. Beginning along the glittering waters of the Mekong River in Cambodia and then on to the shoreline of Connecticut, this book is lyrical, scary, and heartwarming. An exciting page turning read!

This is a fun read from top to bottom! The characters beckon you to know them, the places are transporting, the plot is at once hauntingly familiar in a classic sense, yet modern and believable. If you're someone who loves to escape into an exciting read, this book will take you  for a great and satisfying ride. Thoroughly entertaining. Five Stars!
