This is one of those books that started out well, then took a weird nose dive? Trevor, at twenty-four is still living in his parents home. He’s got some money coming in drawing comics and is designing his own. But really just spinning his wheels. Charlie, from the area but moved away years ago, works in high finance, comes back every year for the Stampede. This year, Trevor’s sister drags him to the opening parade and he makes eye contact with Charlie. Over the next couple of days Charlie and Trevor have an affair of sorts. During this affair we get bits of information about Trevor, nothing much about Charlie. So other then a sexual connection, which is a little D/s (just words and actions) I’m, as a reader, not getting a lot of deep feelings for these characters. But you see in the writing that Trevor is, and is trying to stop it. Past issue, makes Trevor nervous. Then one night we run into an old, old flame, Mathieu. All the sudden we have an MMM. And I’m still feeling any connections. But apparently, all three men are. Then the book ends. I do have to add, Trevor does work out some misguided issues between himself and his parents. The writing was well done. But I needed more connection. I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review by Crystal Many reviewers
