The Tattoo Journal V1 Basic Lining Exercises: By Daniel Yuck
The Tattoo Journal is designed for the pre-tattooing phase. What that means is that I have created this journal to practice before we ever pick up a tattoo machine, although tattooers alike can still use The Tattoo Journal and potentially benefit from it as well.

My goal for The Tattoo Journal is so we can begin to establish a sense of discipline, the type of discipline we will be needing to have a successful tattooing career.

Not only do I feel we can gain a sense of discipline I also feel like The Tattoo Journal can be very useful to help us pinpoint our weaker creating areas early on before we ever start tattooing. This is great so when we actually start tattooing we can already be a bit more aware of line creating directions we are comfortable with.

Furthermore I feel The Tattoo Journal can be great to help us establish a sense of holding posture and style before we ever pick up a tattoo machine.

Overall pulling line after line after line after line can only benefit and allow us to become more comfortable creating clean, consistent, saturated lines.

Although we are not lining with actual tattoo gear some of the key fundamentals that we may learn in The Tattoo Journal can be translated and carried over to our tattooing when it comes time to start actually tattooing.

There is 120 pages with various lining exercises because lining in tattooing is a very repetitive process that we must learn. All 120 pages include a whopping 7,550 lines 1 must create in order to obtain a certificate of completion. There is an additional 16 pages at the end that include 59 lines each page which totals to 944 additional lines that you can choose to do.

On each page (not including the additional pages) you will be greeted with a greeting that can range from a tip to a trick, a short story, a congratulations, or an objective. I put these in there for you to help keep you motivated and inspired while you're creating lines. Happy line creating!

About the Author

My name is Daniel Yuck. I was born and raised in Texas.

Growing up I was always into graffiti which I feel is contributing and will contribute to my tattoo work and style I’m growing into.

The first time that I ever held a tattoo machine was on April, 13 2020. The amount of knowledge I have learned, and am learning in that amount of time is unreal.

Before I picked up a tattoo machine to practice on fake skin I did my studies for 3-4 months on cross contamination, needle depth, where the ink goes, styles of machines, different needles.

The rest was history.

Since I have started tattooing I managed to gain over 100K subscribers on Youtube and now I am practicing styles of tattoos I never knew I was able to do.

I have reviewed hundreds of needles & tattoo machines and tattoo gear. I have used countless fake skins in my time of tattooing and all of this is available on my Youtube channel @DanielYuck for you to check out.

My channel or social media’s are not to encourage unsafe practices of any kind.

My goal is to share, learn and grow upon my journey.

Please practice safely.
