BRIEF SUMMARY Celeste is celebrating her 30th birthday with her friends when she met Roarke. The night she met Roarke things heats up and a little conversation and celebration turns into a hot steamy night. Both Roarke and Celeste hasn't seen each other since that night and later meets again at his sister's wedding and she is with a date. THOUGHTS This was a nice story for me. I liked getting my feet wet with the first book and getting to known the characters the author introduces us to. Roarke's science brain along with his physical description was a joy to read about. Celeste was a single parent working hard as well as an attractive woman. The opening scenes were likable with the characters getting to know each other,  but once their chemistry intensifies it took the story  a step further. Meeting the rest of the Hawthorne family consisting of Matthew, Cassidy and Derrick, the black sheep was interesting. We didn't get too much information about them but I look forward to Matthew's story. The other assisting characters the author gave us were close friends of Roarke and Celeste. Janet, Gwen, Xander and Lucas. When they were together they brought out the funny, mainly Lucas. He isn't apart of the Hawthorne family but his character was a bit strong to me that it got me interested in him and makes me want to read more about him more than Matthew and Derrick. I thought the ending was ok and although I liked this book I don't feel it was the author's best work. Story: FAIR to GOOD Intimacy: GOOD Enjoyment: FAIR

I enjoyed the book, although it was shorter than I expected. Nice, quick read but not a lot of "meat" in the story. I could have used more. 3 1/2 to 4 stars.

Loved Roarke! I read the second book in the series first and thought no one could be as sexy as Derrick Hoffman until I met Roarke. Great chemistry between the couple and the story flows well.

While out for her birthday, Celeste meets the perfect man. After the perfect night she slips away quietly convinced that the experience was in her head. Soon after her friend Derrick asks her to pose as his girlfriend at a family wedding. He wants to impress his family with his success. Needing a vacation, Celeste agrees, but she is unaware that she already knows a bit more about Derrick's family than she originally thought. This story was pretty hot and I was really intrigued about the conflict. I flew through the pages desperate to get to the resolution. It's a short 82 pages and it didn't take me long to read it. This well-written story kept me on the edge of my seat but I couldn't help but wish it were longer. I feel like the story was a tad underdeveloped and wished the conflict was drawn out a bit longer. It's the first in the series so I will definitely check out the next one. Overall, I recommend this for those who enjoy quick sensual reads with a bit of a drama.
