Jolene Navarro is a new-to-me-author and I found this story to be both delightful and heart-warming. It’s a story that touched on so many different levels of emotion, including forgiveness and second chances. A definite must-read! I will absolutely be reading more from this author!

This is a great story dealing with serious issues! Jolene Navarro has done an amazing job of weaving a wonderful story that deals with real-life issues. I love that she takes the topic seriously and doesn't treat it flippantly. Jazmine and Elijah marry for love. But his family's history of alcoholism comes knocking at their front door. When he falls off the wagon and starts drinking, she makes the heart-breaking decision to leave Unbeknownst to Elijah, Jazmine is pregnant. After years apart, Elijah discovers he's a father. Can Jazmine and Elijah put aside their past to make a difference for their daughter? Or are there too many differences and too much hurt to work together? I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a story that deals with real-life issues and has a great ending. I love that the author addresses the seriousness of alcoholism and encourages readers to reach out for help if they need it.
